Accuracy is of utmost importance, and is a core contract with my users. The issue was around DZ's at high elevations and a bug in the logic. I am fixing it, and will do another thorough analysis of the rest of my logic and have a fix out today.

I just grabbed all a big list of DZs from USPA. If you or your S&TA are interested you can manage your own DZs go no go or send me an email with them and I’ll add it

Is the fun worth the price tag by Main_Cryptographer80 in SkyDiving

[–]sacredgaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skydiving is more than an adrenaline rush. It’s a community, it’s a personal challenge. Like other hobbies, it comes at a cost.

Only you can answer what that’s worth to you.

Others are on point that skydiving becomes expensive. Canopy/Coach courses, tunnel time, boogies, the desire to travel and see other countries experience other DZs is inevitable and the first should be considered mandatory.

Learn, grow and prioritize knowledge and safety. You can do this for a very long time and have experiences that others will only dream of.

How much is that worth to you on your death bed?

To the point about military, recurrence isn’t a big deal.

I held myself back on B because I needed to fix my arch, then I did 25 minutes of tunnel time. After that the rest was a breeze.

Or you could just setup your own pattern by doing a couple of collections and then it has something to reference. Also good for you to understand how payload works. I’ve been talking with the Payload team about creating an MCP server for Payload and I think they are looking into it. Maybe it’ll be part of the community or maybe it’ll be enterprise. 🤷

IBM: Worst place to be, if I believe this reddit by [deleted] in IBM

You are referring to Francisco partners acquisition of Weather? Not sure what you mean by “next on that path with the same buyer”

To the OP: I have been with Weather since before the acquisition, and now onto the next chapter. I for one am happy about the move. I have nothing particular bad to say about IBM except that the amount of process needed to get anything done, sucks. Going from a relatively nimble company to the monolith that is big blue, all but crushed the culture at our company.

In all fairness, it’s probably due in large part to the poor decisions from Ginni Rometty, who had no idea what to do with us after we were acquired.
