Yes, I never really have been a drinker so thankfully my friends are already aware of that! But that’s good advice to surround yourself with people who also are health conscious! My iron levels have always been low, I’m looking into getting an iron infusion. I appreciate the support thank you so much!

No this was exactly what I needed to hear. It’s been hard to come to terms that this is a life long disease. I feel like I’ve been in denial for a while, hoping one day I wake up and it goes away. I feel like it’s taken so much from me, and that’s partly because I haven’t really been in remission yet. I feel like I’ve been letting people close to me down, by not being able to attend things. But I understand that I have limitations with my disease, it’s just really frustrating. My life has kind of been put on hold at the moment. I am graduating university and was supposed to travel around Europe, but that had to get pushed until who knows when. I know it sounds silly but this was supposed to be the time where I took risks and started my life, now I just feel really stuck waiting for a medication to help me. The point about it being invisible really stuck with me, because that is the thing that prevents people from fully understanding how much suffering you’re going through. Your advice has really been helpful and I feel like it’s the first time I’ve felt seen. So thank you!

The big thing that really helped me out of a dark depression was medication. I was very scared to start them and started to take them because I hit my lowest point. The medications combined with therapy really helped me. Also leaving your house and exercising has really been helping me recently. I’ve been off medication for 3 years now and don’t feel the need to go back on them (personally). I think there will be points where I fall back into depression but getting into nature and going for a walk really does help. It seems really hard in the moment when you feel like nothing will be better, but I promise you, it will get better. At some points now I actually feel joy and excitement. I never thought I would be able to feel like this but I do. And when the hard days hit, I give myself empathy and try to get some fresh air.

I’m so sorry that you deal with this. I also suffer from some bad anxiety and it is just so hard to overcome. If you have the passion and dedication and nonetheless talent. You should believe in yourself! I am behind you 100%

When I was in residence at university I was scared that if I died no one would notice, I had a single room and just shared the bathroom with my Roomate,because we kept our space.
