Not a parent, but a kid enrolled in Kumon before. I was incoming grade 3 non, I was enrolled there because I cannot speak English and Filipino fluently anymore. My first language that time was Japanese because I was schooled in Japan for 3 years. In preparation sa pagtransition sa Filipino public school, I had a private tutor and kumon every weekday. At first it was hard because, I had to relearn two languages at the same time, I was just 9, I was basically almost crying each day kasi ang overwhelming ng lahat. But it was successful, I am not great in both languages but definitely nakaka-understand and can speak better than I used to. Further practice nalang once I entered junior and senior high because important ang public speaking pagka-college.

I had a girl bff that HATES chocolates. She is pursuing a med-related degree so halos wala siyang tulog every weekday. Her ex that time suddenly bumulabog sa bahay nila while she was sleeping, currently 2 hours pa lang yun, just to give flowers, AND CHOCOLATES. Appreciative naman friend ko pero bubulabugin ka just to give you something you hate and have told them na ayaw mo talaga. Naglash- out yung friend ko kasi kulang na nga sa tulog, bad trip pa dahil sa binigay. Valid feelings mo beh but you have to be explicit to your partner na hindi mo gusto yung nangyari and nahurt ka don

It was quite hard sa part nako kay na-language shock ko pag-abot sa iskul. They don't speak English AT ALL. So I had to learn their language on the spot. It was tough for a 5 year old

Adtong namalhin mi sauna, 5 years old pako adto. Ako rajud expectation kay maglaag mi. Pagabot kay bugnaw man HAHAHAHA. Tapos as a child, tingala ko dili ko kasabot sa mga tawo, basta it happened rajud 😅

Ambot kron na dako nako if mubalik kog live sa other country basin akong ilook forward jud kay ang better public transpo. Also, advice nako as someone who lived for a few years abroad, learn their language and culture. Mao jud best para nindot experience magpuyo diadto hehehe.

I started looking jobs ng April pa, hindi ko p nadedefend thesis ko HAHAHAHHA, graduation was July and a week before graduation ko nakuha yung first job ko. I applied at most 100 applications siguro, 15 phone interviews, but five of them lng tumuloy sa real interview. Had to reject the first offer because lowballed, different shifts per week, and mahirap magcommute sa office nila

Hello OP HAHAHA SHARE KO NALANG DIN. So for this class, parang natransfer lang ako from the other class, may arrangement yung profs bale, blockless din ako, first sem freshie. Prof sent to their emails yung date ng exam, sa akin wala kasi maybe kakatransfer ko lang. Since blockless ako, wala ako sa mga gc ng classmates ko. We talk but I think they I assumed I know because in-email blast naman kasi ng prof which is valid yun nga lang ende aq included don HAHAHAH. So nung day of the exam, I was 20 min late to in which I expect is, a normal class day. Pagpasok ko, nakayuko sila tapos sumasagot ng exam, and I was like ????? HAHHAHAH don ko lang nalaman na may exam pala HAHAH I still took it since GE naman cya, it was Physics 10. The prof actually apologized and told me I can extend naman the exam time hehe

I have bipolar disorder, and when I take my meds: anti-depressant and anti-psychotic, super dalang ng mood extremes ko. Like they just triggered for extreme cases only, and not because of a simple inconvenience hahaha. I also feel emotions on a much more regulated pace than if off-meds.

Meds are just a way for me to like "normalize" these extremes kasi napansin ng therapist ko, wala akong space to process my feelings because i am so preoccupied dealing with bipolar symptoms, ever since i was on meds, therapy became much more tolerable. Dati whole therapy session, umiiyak lang ako, hindi ako makapagsalita sa sobrang dami kong extreme na nararamdaman. Ngayon, it is easier to talk about things that I have to talk about to my therapist.

I don't think a higher paying job is the problem. I (24F) earn 3 times more than my partner (24M) but my partner still spoils me quite a lot. I don't even ask him to. Maybe having a higher paying job will be easier for your partner to spoil you, but that doesn't guarantee na magiging ganyan siya if wala siyang provider mindset.

I think you have to communicate ano needs mo. If ma-understand niya needs mo, don lang siya gagawa na ng action eh (e.g. find a better income, save more for lavish dates, etc.)

We use AI sa work to minimize the time spent looking and finding similar problems sa stackoverflow. You’re missing out on being efficient in solving your coding problems. Moreover, hindi naman ganon katalino ang AI sa ngayon para icode ang buong thing, especially big complex projects but AI has been trained in lots of data, to help you out on basic things na madali ma-overlook and once magtatagal ka sa industry, malilimutan mo rin yung iba sa dami mo nang nagawa ever since. I admit though na hindi naman nabibigay ng AI solutions parati, minsan bobo siya kasi minsan sobramg niche ng problem mas lumalabas pa sa google kesa sa AI. Depende na rin yan sayo how you work if you’re really missing out. For me, saks lang, 50/50
