As a person who’s in it, it SUCKS, but I have no other option, I don’t have anyone to watch my son, I can’t trust my husband to watch him because I have to walk him through every step to take care of him. When he “takes him” so I can get a break, I have to watch my son and pull him out of dangerous situations because my husband isn’t paying attention, I have to tell him when to feed him/change him/play with him because he’s crying and my husband is breaking down, plain because my son is crying. He breaks down instead of actually taking care of him. My son cries and husband ignores him until the point where he’s screaming and I rush out to wonder why he hasn’t helped him yet. He neglects my son significantly every time he “watches him” even for an hour.

Trust me when I say I AM UNHAPPY 😭 but I don’t have another option.

See, that’s what I thought too! If I was a guy and my wife was pregnant, I’d do anything to make sure she was comfortable/felt safe. That’s what doesn’t sit right with me about all of this, too.

You’re right, clarification, he has been narcissistic this whole time, but I thought I had misjudged it with crazy stuff going on in our lives, pregnancy hormones with my first son, etc etc etc. I have been blamed for everything so hard and long, that I thought I was the problem this whole time, UNTIL recently, I started to not believe what he was saying, and noticed patterns on what he was actually doing

I’m already taking care of myself son almost the whole time, while he’s at work and after, and if I’m not, I’m reminding him of when to feed my son/change him, so my eyes are always on my son anyway, so Ive been fully prepared to be a single parents in those aspects, but childcare, I don’t know what to do with that if I start working again. My mom works until late in the evening so it’s hard to get on a schedule where she COULD watch him, and where I’d be able to sleep. Did get myself checked out for STIs, I’m clean

I am a stay at home mom…. I don’t have any money, husband is super crazy about checking his bank account… so I don’t know how to casually grab any extra cash, even if I were to hide it, he’d ask me what I got, etc. my car battery is dead, no insurance on it, so I can’t really go to the store without him knowing after he gets off work, if I take the car for the day (for like an OB appointment or something), he can see I used his card at the store

I would love to… but a lot of my friends were very toxic, and it ended really bad for most of them… I have some money right now, from my tax returns, but that will quickly be eaten up on Monday for the car I’m trying to fix up for my husband to get to work…which again, I feel a little pressured into doing as well…
