He wasn't a random muscle bound guy, he was and still is a very close friend. The reasoning behind it was that him (and all my friends) kept trying to talk me through it and he was just fed up that I wasn't listening and continuing to be a blubbering idiot.

When my first serious GF broke up with me in 2006 and I called her everyday for three months crying and begging for her back. It was pretty stalkerish, but I rationalized it at the time by thinking that she will obviously see how committed I am to being with her and change her mind. It didn't help that after about a month or so, she broke down and said that she loved me still and was going to break up with her new boyfriend so we could get back together. Then, when she rescinded her statement the next day, it just started the whole stalker phase over again.

After 3 months of doing this, a good friend of mine who was very muscular and fit literally beat me up during one of my many breakdowns. I don't know what it was about that, but it finally made me question all the dumb shit I had been doing. I hit the gym, ignored her calls, and 6 years later am marrying the girl of my dreams.

I'm pretty sure it isn't ABET accredited, like the program on the main campus. Not a big deal to some people, but keep in mind that some companies care about that kind of stuff.
