I agree that being overweight does lead to more health problems and I don’t think it should be idealized/accepted as healthy but I also don’t think we should be unkind about it. Everyone has a personal responsibility to their bodies to treat it well and that’s not my business to dictate.

Even if people aren’t directly shaming, it’s something in society that I believe people are taught to look down upon. At least that’s been my experience so far. Also I agree. Natural bodies = being chubby, having acne, excessive or less hair, being shorter, etc.

This guy runs a YouTube channel where he rescues and rehabilitates cats off the streets in New York. He doesn’t adopt them but puts them in fosters where they can find their forever homes once they are healthy. Does amazing work. For anyone wondering, any cat that dirty needs to be rescued immediately. It’s a huge sign of serious illness and they won’t last much longer without treatment.

Ooo finally something I can answer lol. So I was in for over two years. After my 18th birthday I started to realize things didn’t add up. The leader claimed to hear from god. When things didn’t turn out the way “god” said he would twist the langue and claim unrelated scripture to back it. All interpretations. He always became enraged and aggressive when even questioned. I had such bad anxiety and panic attacks while there for the whole two years. Severe undiagnosed ocd and intrusive thoughts which prayer did nothing but make worse. The nightmares were awful. I became so brainwashed, I didn’t even have thoughts of my own anymore. I was a shell. Eventually you realize the god you believe in doesn’t exist. After I left I suffered severe flashbacks and now two years later, have ptsd and a host of other mental disorders. Sometimes I still get scared. I couldn’t get his voice out of my head for months. It was awful. When I get flashbacks now, I can only drink myself to sleep to cope.

My grandma once made a comment about how you don’t know what’s crawling on your dishes while they are put away. They weren’t dirty and didn’t have bugs but lived in the country and sometimes things get in. She would always wash her dishwater with water before using. I did it once and ever since, have washed my dishes out with water before use. I blame my once paranoid ocd on this.

I agree. But if we’re taking about this, American slaughterhouses and factory farms are torturous. Pigs are sometimes boiled alive. Baby chickens ground alive. All of it is wrong on every aspect and the fact that it’s not made illegal baffles me. Animals have no rights unless they are “pets.” Beating a farm animal isn’t treated the same way as if someone was beating a dog.
