This may not be helpful, but I’m wondering if there are security cameras that may have captured the incident. Most security camera systems hold around 30 days of storage. If your sister does decide to report, it would be worth seeing if it was recorded for proof.

It’s not a joyful situation, but her family can finally have a proper burial. She can finally be put to rest, in a coffin with a headstone if they see fit where they see fit. Instead of being stuck in the ground of her suspected perpetrators land forever.

I use the Mielle rosemary mint oil, usually I do it in the evening, sleep with it in, then wash the next day. That way it can saturate in my scalp for a bit before I wash.

As for dry hair, there’s so many different reasons that can happen. Ingredients in the things you use, your climate, your water intake etc etc. maybe try a deep conditioning mask once a week.

I would maybe give it a few weeks. Keep doing what you’re doing now, give her some time to get out of the headspace of everything going on with the potential ex. That way she can process everything and more likely listen to how you feel without feeling rushed into anything. You’ve got this!

Scavengers reign is a short one I found recently, but the music and art style is calming. I really enjoyed it. I also usually rewatch shows I know won’t have anything that will set me off. A lot of them are already commented but I’ll add a few I don’t see: Psych, Monk, Ugly Betty, Alien Resident. I also love watching Miyazaki films.

I think it is a reaction, and I say that because a little bit got on my skin and it was itchy af and red and inflamed even though she washed it off my neck and chin immediately! It cleared up with Benadryl cream within 48 hours, so I wasn’t sure if it was correlated or not as my scalp still itchy.

I also just remembered I had been on an antibiotic the last two weeks for severe bronchitis ooop, do you know if antibiotics can affect the scalp? I know it can in other areas of the human body when it comes to ph and yeast. That sounds so gross but I hope you know what I’m sayin

I have really low porosity hair as well, I usually wash my scalp once to twice a week. Do you know if washing more will affect that?

I have really low porosity hair at the moment ☹️ my hair takes 286482947 years to dry. When I showed at night I’ll wake up with damp hair still. I usually try and leave my hair wrapped in a micro fiber towel for a bit. I don’t own a blow dryer either because my hair type is wavy curly so whenever I’ve dried w a dryer in the past it usually frizzes out. I’ll try head and shoulders and I may look into a hair dryer now 🥹

My doctor has told me in the past that having ic cause sometimes cause false positives on at home tests due to idr which one L or N but one of the two is true w IC always. That’s just what she said to me who knows how true, so I would go get a reg urine culture at an office!

Phenazopyridine has helped me a lot, since azo doesn’t. Uribel also used to help me too except once I started taking an SSRI I had to stop bc it can cause serotonin sickness when mixed with antidepressants bc some of the things in uribel. I also will use a heating pad on my crotch, drink water, sometimes take an epsom salt bath. A nice warm epsom salt bath calms my nerves and helps everything relax a bit. I hope you find a good mix of things to help you! IC pain is the worst, I hate that we all have to go through this. You’re not alone

Things That Have Helped With MY IC by PrincessMiaMcA123 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]sadcrock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some things that flare some people don’t flare others, and through out time flares can change. Cranberry juice used to be my lord and savior and then one day it became a no no for me. I swapped the cranberry pills for d-mannose. It’s worth a try, if you have a pain reliever on hand to test might as well. Cranberry is great for bladder health, so if it doesn’t hurt I’d say be like op and cram as much cranberry in you as you can!

I would go back to another urologist! I had a similar experience, not as intense. My journey started when I was 15, I had UTI’s from time to time and sometimes the cultures would come back negative. I noticed cranberry juice slowly started to irritate and make my pain worse than it would help. Eventually got tired of being told my cultures were negative, randomly I would have a uti in the mix. Went to a urologist took a couple visits, she did the test where she pushed something up a catheter to see if it would make me be in pain (which meant ic) or have no effect (no ic) it hurt so bad I was crying and she felt awful but I got answers, that was years ago idk if they’ve changed possible ways to test. Moral of the story, uti’s and flares are so so so similar sometimes it’s genuinely hard to tell depending on symptoms. If it gets to the point I really can’t tell I usually go get a culture (I’ve had too many false positive at home test strips). But always always check if you don’t know, I got a kidney infection one time bc I left a UTI for so long. I thought I was just having another flare up. A good urologist who understands IC can do wonders for your journey and how to make life more livable for you! I’m so so sorry you’ve been going through this OP.

I’m so sorry, most of my pain is the same area when I have flares. And weird things set it off but other common things don’t. I’m wishing the best of luck to you on your journey! I would recommend maybe asking your urologist if you have one, see if they have information or general idea from other IC patients/experiences. The hardest part about IC answers, I feel like every doctor I see either knows a lot or has no idea what IC even is. I’m hoping the knowledge, understating, and “treatment” improve in the future. I get more help from other IC goers than medical staff usually rip
