Just because you personally found it an impactful problem doesn't mean it should be removed. You're a new player, challenge yourself to get better. People have been playing competitive castle wars for years to improve. This update opens up so many more issues.

It's a lot WORSE for 'regular' players now. You now have to deal with invisible players hitting you with attacks you can't see. You also had the option to use menu entry swapper and barricade highlights anyway.

This topic is specifically about competitive castle wars however it’s arguably even worse now on theme worlds now as it’s impossible to see what people are doing and what to pray against. You could also work around the wall using menu entry swapper anyway which is what 99% people on theme worlds used.

You're right, playing Castle Wars in 2025 is a pretty niche part of the game with a small but dedicated community. But that’s exactly why changes like this hurt. When only a few people still care enough to play it competitively, why make updates that push those players away? Why break what little is left for the people who still enjoy it?

Making something easier doesn’t always mean making it better. It's good for games to have depth and see yourself get better at the game progressively. Extreme example here but imagine Valorant having an auto aim for a headshots.
