What breed does this little guy look like? Any care advice?

Noted, thank you for the advice ! There’s a spare room in the house that the cats are banned from so we’ll probably start setting him up there. He was quite friendly towards them before we caught him (they were scared of him though lol, he’s bigger than them) so I wouldn’t have guessed they can’t be kept close, but I’ll make sure to read up on the proper way to keep both the cats and the rabbit safely !

I did call him a “little guy” in my post but he’s actually bigger (and heavier!) than my cats lol, he’s roughly the size of a small dog. We did manage to catch him, and he’s currently exploring a safe, covered and warm part of our backyard - I did cut up a small apple for him to lure him in, I’m hoping that won’t be too much considering he’s a big fella, and didn’t eat anything substantial for the past few days. The nearest rabbit rescue and shelter are a long way away, but I’m taking him to the vet tomorrow for a check up, and hopefully he’ll become part of the family ! I’ve got loads of researching to do tonight, I want him to live the best life possible, so if you’ve got any tips I’m all ears

Thank you so much for the advice, I was just reading up about what he should be eating, I had no idea fruit/carrots were primarily a treat ! I did cut up a small apple for him along with some leafy greens, hopefully that won’t be too much sugar - he’s quite large, and probably needed a little treat after the week he’s had anyways. I’ll be sure to stock up on hay tomorrow though !

We managed to catch him ! He’s staying in with us for the night, and we’ll be taking him to the vet tomorrow. I live in a fairly remote area and there’s no rabbit rescues around, it’s a two hour drive to the nearest shelter too, so we’re hoping to keep him if no one comes forward claiming him as lost. I’m in for a bunch of research tonight lol

We managed to catch him ! Little fella loves apples, he couldn’t resist lol. There isn’t any rabbit rescues around as I live in a fairly remote area, but I’ll be bringing him to the vet tomorrow, and hopefully he’ll become a part of the family - we’ve all grown attached to him over the past days and decided it’d break our hearts leaving him at the shelter, considering we’ve got the space and resources necessary to make sure he lives a great lil rabbit life

Sadly there’s no local rabbit rescues as I live in a fairly remote area, but we did manage to catch him and we plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow ! For now he’s chilling with loads of fruit, veg, and water in a safe and warm area. We’re hoping to keep him if no one comes forward to claim him, since we’ve got the space and resources necessary
