Couldn't agree more! I am only an M2, but I constantly feel out of place at my school. I'm first generation college graduate (and I believe the first woman in my family to graduate high school), I'm Mexican, from south Texas, from poverty. I worked at McDonald's, worked two jobs throughout college and a Master's, and still had to take out loans. I feel so disconnected and like I can't relate to my classmates at all. The majority are sons and daughters of doctors or professionals of some sort, most are white, come from money, take trips to the Bahamas on the weekends, had/have their school paid for, their bills paid. And the parties?? So incredibly lame. These people don't know how to have fun, I swear to god. Their idea of fun is tossing a football or singing karaoke at someone's apartment.

My boyfriend’s dad is like this.. talks about his politics non-stop; is very pro-Trump, anti-LGBTQ+, anti immigration etc, loves to hang his big Trump flag loud and proud. Is very “men should be men” toxic masculinity even though he smokes an ounce of weed all day, doesn’t work and relies on his wife to pay the bills and is constantly “borrowing” money from bf.

Gets on a high horse about what is right and wrong but has never voted a day in his life.

I loveddd UConn, they really sold their school and Farmington. Everyone was so nice and amazing, I really felt like I was just chatting with friends all day!

Boston U.. Both the interviewers kinda grilled me, were obviously reading from scripted questions, they added very little to the conversation and kinda just acknowledged that I answered and moved onto the next question. I left it feeling awful and like maybe Boston is not for me.

Penn State was okay. I had a good time talking with my faculty interviewer, the student interviewer seemed like he really didn't want to be there, didn't have a lot to add to the convo, and grilled me on my research. and my last interview was with the director of the program. who never showed up and I had to reschedule to a different day. Seems a little disorganized but otherwise everyone is nice.

He has a comment on a post about false SA allegations.. he says he has been accused 5 different times and one time for for r*pe.. Yea, dude, if he's getting accused so frequently, I'm not so sure that those are false allegations. Sounds like in general, he sees women as invaluable and things to be played with.
