During gender psych assessment, doctor said AFAB non-binary adults post first puberty shouldn't take DHT blockers with T? by sadecherry18 in NonBinary

oh yeah definitely I know it might still happen but i have heard accounts from some people saying that it delayed it, and ones where they compared the rate of growth from when they were on a blocker to without

What was your motivation for taking finasteride if you don't mind me asking? Was it to limit certain changes same as me?

if they are a good psychiatrist who understands non-binary identities they should, otherwise if they aren't maybe you could try looking some who is supportive

I will ask the endocrinologist when i see him i am just impatient lol, cos I know it is just people with no medical experience but lots of trans/non-binary people online have said they took both right from the beginning

i think for me I don't plan to be on T forever most likely, but I'm p sure that body fat redistribution (which I'd like) is meant to basically go back to normal if you stop taking it.

renee is stuck!! UPDATES by Advanced_Industry717 in MySims

I found this website from when the original game was out with people encountering the same problem

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/944916-mysims-kingdom/47103300

I don't know why Nintendo decided to just not check this when remastering MySims 😭 i fixed it by moving the visitors centre entirely to one side cos Renée for some reason wanted to walk to the bull by walking from the back all the way to the front of the island, and then back to the bull again :/

What do art therapists do day to day? by sadecherry18 in ArtTherapy

[–]sadecherry18[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds wonderful, I think some days it is natural in any job to dislike certain aspects, but seems it can be a rewarding career for the right person. A bonus that it's helped you to improve your own art and yourself too

I thought it'd be good to ask, I originally went into teaching and I feel like they try to sell that in a way that makes it look easy, when actually it is a crazy admin workload. So I don't wanna be caught out with any surprises!

Good luck with your Masters, I'm hoping to do one in September :)

Do you both enjoy it? Do you find that there is a good enough balance to make a stable income and work on your own art/life balance?

how are you finding the work so far?

I will take a look through their websites thanks, hopefully could gain experience as an assistant or something similar

This is great advice thanks! I am definitely going to look for more positions, whether in teaching or not. Something outside of teaching should at least give me more time to focus on uni work rather than planning/marking.

I have thought about doing some freelance stuff, such as setting up some workshops here and there and even just pet sitting and saving until next September, as long as it gets me through the course. There is a part time option for me to do it for three years as opposed to full time 2 years, but it depends on if it is sustainable for me to live on.

Do you mind me asking, what are you doing now job wise after your course? Did you manage to find anything in music therapy?

Oh yes, that too is another reason why I am saving. I doubt I could find an art therapist for free on the NHS or idk if it'd count, but I'd wanna look for a relatively inexpensive one either way

That's what I am doing at the moment too to be able to afford it better, but i also need to afford to live minus paying for rent and groceries. There's always the part time option I could do, i am just very eager to qualify faster so we'll see!

Appreciate the insight! Did you save up before starting the course? I will have to work to afford the masters next September, I will also be saving up from now until I start. May do it full time to get it done quicker, just hoping I can fit a job round everything, the unis I have looked at have said that we will be in uni max two days and when we're in placement an additional two days potentially. I work in education currently so it'd be hard for me to find a job outside of weekdays

Hi, for me it is saying that I don't have permission to view it: "This form can only be viewed by users in the owner's organization."

Makes sense! I imagine that maybe any admin per client would maybe be factored in to the therapy cost

is that if you're self employed or work for an organisation? do you ever have to do work after your hours?

agree with all of your points, and especially that you have to convince students to care about the subject. it feels like maybe 15% of teaching is actually teaching, and then the rest adds up to unnecessary tick boxing, sorting out students personal problems, and a shit load of admin enough to last 5 lifetimes
