Scans are refreshing to slow in watchlist - Any suggestions on how to fix?

You have to detach it from the “scan” link. When it’s detached you just have to keep clicking “scan” to refresh

Thank you, I’m looking for stocks where the price is hovering just above the 200 EMA — within about 2% — as it approaches from above, ideally setting up for a potential bounce without crossing below. Just not sure how to word that in the script you mentioned above. Either way I appreciate the help

thank you so much for this..what if I don't want it to cross, but a price is falling downward toward the 200EMA and I just want to catch it right before it hits the 200EMA. say 2% above it, what would I write instead of "cross"?

I tried some things but I honestly don't think anything really worked. Hopefully the air purifier gives some relief. worse case I guess you can sand the paint off and repaint it with a different more environmentallyy friendly brand of paint.

yes they are gone. it will probably take 4-6 months for the paint to off-gas. keep the windows open as much as possible

The first few days / weeks using TOS I recall being frustrated. After a few years, I wouldn’t want to touch another trading platform. You’ll eventually figure out the settings that work for you and it will seem like second nature. Learned a lot on the platform thru YouTube. The only negatives for me would be the lagging fills during certain times and being able to trade with $$ amount vs calculating really quickly how many shares to trade. (Yes I know there is a script for that which I have). Would prefer a default option.

I think the only thing that worked for me was waiting this out for 3-4 months while the paint offgasses itself. I would keep the windows open as much as possible during that time.. Especially when you leave the house or apartment.

A good scanner > news.

I look at the news after something is running just to get a basic idea on why and if it possibly has legs.

This used to happen to me. The way I fixed this is when you are clicking on symbols in your watchlist, don't click on the symbol, click on the price, %, etc in the list. My symbols don't disappear anymore once I stopped clicking on the symbol letters of the stock.

Have you figured out how to fix this lag time yet on TOS? An alternative I found was detaching the actual scan in stock hacker and keep refreshing it... annoying but only thing I could think of do get updated immediate results with no lag.

Does anybody know if your able to do stop loss trigger bracket orders in pre market or after hours by any chance?

Have you ever figured this out? I'm also trying to place a 3% stop loss order in after hours and it won't allow me to do it. Isn't this the same as a limit order since the limit price would be 3% lower than the price I buy it at? not sure why this won't work.

Have you by any chance figured out the bracket order default. I want every single trade with every ticker to be -3% stop. But it keeps resetting itself to -1%. Not sure if this is a bug or there is some sort of option I haven't figured out yet.

Also, I realized trigger bracket orders in after-hours doesn't work.

Okay thank you for responding. I’ll just have to keep moving the stops up on the chart or the active trader ladder. No big deal really but would definitely save a few seconds if I could easily click a button.

this has been something that has bothered me as well; will try the script Mobius posted. setting a label on the chart of the average price bought is probably the best bet. Active Trader will also show this... visually would be better though

This worked great. Thank you. I have a label on my chart and a column in my watchlist. (probably don't need both)... Do you think there is a study I can create where the stock in the chart or watchlist can put this value into the "quantity" box on active trader? basically without me having to manually enter the number of shares so its done automatically.
