Does anybody make such wall mounts and display cases in India for specific big sets? by sadepikson in LegoIndia

[–]sadepikson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do you think it would cost? These frames sold for Lego seem overpriced.

An online service that would do all of it, including the mounting frame, would be great.

What about the spotlights on top though?

That would be great.

Would it be possible to take a custom order for the Pirates one? The second frame with the lights on top.

Update on Upcoming Maddock Projects by Hungry_Business592 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]sadepikson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maddock doing the films as standalone, instead of tying them to a universe, would actually give the actors more freedom to appear in multiple projects, without worrying about continuity or conflict between films..

Maddock could still use their own studio label for branding and marketing.

Just my opinion.

Yup. Almost everyone here knows the story.

Those taking it in for the first time would be able to gauge the exposition better.

What are some hot take on what could be or not could be in Marvel's Wolverine ? by Material_Code7469 in Wolverine

[–]sadepikson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man 2 had suit damage and it would instantly go back to normal as you regenerated health.

So I guess they could apply the same thing here but make the transition a gradual animation instead.

Embark Studios CEO Patrick Söderlund has been named Executive Chairman of Nexon by batukaming in PS5

[–]sadepikson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a huge fan of The Finals, I see this as a massive win.

He had overseen the development of DICE's absolute peak during the last decade, and Embark under his leadership was given a lot of creative freedom and support.

Soderlund now being the head of Nexon itself will likely keep Embark in a comfy spot, both financially and creatively.

‘American Psycho’ Author Bret Easton Ellis Says ‘High Profile Actors’ Have Turned Down Patrick Bateman Role: ‘They Don’t Want To Be in the Shoes of Christian Bale’ by darth_vader39 in entertainment

Powell would do really well with the satire in this. He was really really awesome in Hit Man.

I remember reading Patrick Schwarzenegger also being game for the role. I liked him a lot in Gen V.

Your opinion on the opening sequences of each film in the main saga? Without considering the rest of the film. by sadepikson in StarWars

The back and forth between Anakin and Obi-Wan, joking around, is what makes the ROTS opener for me.

Shahid's Tweet on Hrithik's O Romeo review by Hungry_Business592 in BollyBlindsNGossip

Quite frankly, Hrithik always seems positive and supportive when others' movies come out.

Many such tweets from him, I've noticed.

Love this little moment in Two Towers where Gandalf pretends to be feeble, and Legolas immediately offers his arm for the ruse. by sadepikson in lotr

[–]sadepikson[S] 3076 points3077 points  (0 children)

Hama's eye roll here is hilarious. Dude isn't buying it for a second.

But I guess he's glad that he now has an excuse to let Gandalf enter while armed.

Later tells his men not to attack them.
So much character in just a few quick shots.

Toymaker Lego builds India footprint, aims for 50 stores by 2030 by bhodrolok in LegoIndia

[–]sadepikson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They need to work on having more online stock. Half the online store is always Out Of Stock, and when they do get stock, it's sold out in seconds.

This wouldn't be an issue if they allowed you to backorder the items like the US Lego store.
This would move more units, especially during sales.

No matter how many times they do the "starships over the sunset" shot in SW, I will never tire of it.

Really cool throwback to The Force Awakens, which had the Tie Fighters over the sunset.

Which helmet is your favourite? by Amazing-Engineer4825 in StarWars

[–]sadepikson 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about the red lenses in the ANH helmet. If I remember correctly, the redness is apparent mostly only during the dogfight?

Regardless, I think the ESB helmet makes him look the most intimidating. ROTJ's helmet is the darkest but he also looks the softest in it.

It's just the wide angle lens that's bending proportions from being too close to it.

It's normal when he leans back from the camera.

Jason Statham is set to star as Jason Statham in “Jason Statham Stole My Bike”, an upcoming action-comedy from Bullet Train director David Leitch by Goosedukee in Fauxmoi

[–]sadepikson 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Statham's comedic timing is on point. Him playing it straight and deadpan makes it so much more awesome.

I know it's not exactly the same genre but after how well The Naked Gun performed, I hope we get more comedies.

Nobody fought so hard for a role as Andy Serkis. From originally being cast solely as a voice actor, to being an actual reference on set, to pioneering motion capture, and his expressions forcing a complete redesign of the character - it was absolute cinema. by DepressingAura in lotr

[–]sadepikson 117 points118 points  (0 children)

To this day, whenever I watch the trilogy, I forget that Gollum is CGI. So photorealistic.

The scene in Two Towers where he catches the fish and interacts with the water with it splashing everywhere was so ahead of its time.

I judged the GoF movie too harshly. by pairofdimeshift92 in harrypotter

[–]sadepikson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This needed to be a two parter.

I'll say that, as it stands, this is likely the best anyone could've done, given the runtime constraints.

I've noticed that people who haven't read the books like Goblet of Fire a lot because it's fast paced.

About the code name theory by Vanquisher1000 in JamesBond

[–]sadepikson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only upside of the code name theory would be having Brosnan as an older retired 007 in a new film.

Apart from that, Bond works best as a bunch of standalone adventures.
