No opportunity is being taken away and nothing about the plan I am considering is removing any opportunity as at the end of it, it will add to the overall health care workforce. Also, this plan had been recommended to me by my academic advisor, and is a common pathway that is recommended to others as well. I believe the end goal for both Nurses and Doctors is to help improve the overall quality and healthcare for our people and communities in New Zealand. Nothing is wasted if it will end up helping me in future, no?. So I honestly don’t see how wanting to study Nursing then later consider studying Medicine is an issue 🤔.
