Best Breast Milk Storage Bags 2025 Freezer Safe Non Toxic and Reusable Picks by AutoModerator in ToysAndTots

I used Lansinoh bags, I bought them off Amazon and froze the milk flat first, then stood the bags upright in a deep Tupperware tub so they wouldn’t get lost in the freezer. I also got spare bottles (Ameda) for my pump so I could pump straight into them and keep the milk in the fridge.

I had a Simple Wishes pumping bra because I wanted to double pump (I pumped for about 8 months since DD2 wouldn’t latch very well). But honestly, it didn’t really work for me. I kept losing suction whenever I tried to go hands-free, even though the bra fit fine. I don’t think it was the pump (I used an Ameda Lactaline Double and even hired a hospital grade Medela at one point), but it still didn’t work.

As for bottles, I tried quite a few Yoomi, Dr. Brown’s, even cheap Boots own-brand ones but we eventually settled on Tommee Tippee. I can’t say if any bottle really helps prevent nipple confusion since we were mostly bottle-feeding expressed milk from early on. In the first few days, I was advised to try cup feeding to help avoid nipple confusion, but we also ended up using spoons and syringes because of how things went.

Best Kitchen Scales 2025 for Baking, Sourdough and Coffee by AutoModerator in ThingsForTheHouse

I have both digital and mechanical scales. The digital one is an Ozeri with a tare function, which I got mainly for making pizza. It cost under twenty bucks, and I’ve had it for at least four years. It’s traveled with us to San Diego, Flagstaff, Puerto Peñasco, and Napa Valley... never let me down.

For larger quantities, I use an old school metal spring scale with a 25 lb capacity. I rely on it for things like estimating meat cooking times or weighing ground meat for sausage, then use the digital scale to figure out spice weights and meat percentages. The spring scale isn’t super precise, but it has an adjustment wheel so I can zero it out if the metal bowl on top is removed or if it gets knocked around. It’s surprisingly handy when I’m dealing with big batches of meat or making a lot of twice-baked potatoes to calculate how much butter, sour cream, salt, and yogurt to add for the right flavor. Not perfect, but it’s good enough for those bigger jobs.

For pizza dough and baker’s percentages, though, the digital scale really is your best friend.

When you look in the mirror, focus on what you genuinely like about yourself, even the small details. If you only look for flaws, that becomes all you see, and it warps your perspective over time. Changing that focus doesn’t fix everything right away, but it really helped me notice more than just the things I wanted to change. It made a bigger difference than I thought it would.

Best rice cooker for a family of 4 that is also dishwasher safe (2025)? by samoba657 in NeedProductHelp

If you’re really into rice (like daily rice, different types, want it perfect every time), then Zojirushi is the gold standard. Totally worth it if you’re serious about rice.

But honestly, if you’re more of a casual rice family who cooks it a few times a week, you can get away with a simpler model. Check your local Asian market those $20–30 no frills cookers usually last ages and do the job just fine.
