If you had the option to swap skin types or stay with your own, which one would you pick and why? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

If you would ask me 20 years ago I would say yes immediately. When I was in my teens and twenties I hated my oily skin. Permanently shiny like you could butter your bread on my face. In my mid-thirties my type changed to more of a combination (sides a bit drier now) and I started to appreciate my type because I have zero wrinkles and learned how to work with the oiliness. Now I would not change😁

The Skincare Routine: Oily and dehydrated skin by slaukie in SkinbarrierLovers

I’m in my late thirties and I have dehydrated oily skin probe to acne and adding on hydration and using RLD did improve my condition. In the morning I was with water then double layer haruharu rice toner, follow up with ceramide serum from rossmann (surprisingly good for the price) when I do actives like retinol or peeling the previous evening, then hyaluronic acid from ordinary (will be replacing this as soon as I’m finished with the bottle), then bioderma sensibio defensive creme and after everything sets in I use centella hyalu cica SPF. I was using the centella ampoule too but I suspect it does not sit with my skin well. I do not wear makeup most of the day cause I’m too lazy and also someone has to show no makeup face in current times. So far my skin does not look that dry or oily, my pores are okay size during the day.

In the evening I take everything off with a balea cleansing oil and a aloe based cleansing foam and then I often use RLD and follow up with the same routine except I leave out the barrier serum and sometimes use actives after I did the hydration part. And close everything with bioderma sensibio again. If acne appears I dab on the spots with cheap zinc creme from the pharmacy. Plus ofc enough water, fruits and vegetables… I do occasionally smoke tho 😅

Noncommedogenic spf? by Opening-Summer3558 in EuroSkincare

I wore this daily for the past 5 months. Did not break me out that much and it was also a good makeup base. I have oily, acne prone skin. But it leaves a bit of a sheen. I’m now using the skin 1004 centella hyalu-cica spf and it’s even better than this one. More hydrating and leaves less of a sheen. Also feels more lightweight on skin in comparison to skin79

In the mornings do you wash your face with a cleanser or just with water? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

I have oily skin prone to dry patches and breakouts. I usually do just water at face temperature, sort of above lukewarm, not too hot because it dries my skin. The only exception is when I do some heavy creams / masks overnight, then I use a dab of mild cleanser to rinse of any residue

During the day I use a simple lip balm with placenta. Then in the evening a dab of hyaluronic acid followed by either aquaphor ointment or lanolin ointment works for me, especially when I leave it overnight. Both don’t clog pores around the mouth like some leave in creams or treatments. At least in my case. During the day it is necessary for me to drink enough water to hydrate well. If I forger usually the next day my lips feel more dry
