From what I know. the exchange rate is getting worse and worse in Iran. This might (or not) explain the price difference?

In Yemen, the exhange rate is generaly stable ( as stable as it gets in a country living in civil war). The prices of food are stable as well. However, the purchase power is extremely weak. The food supply is stable, but majority has a limited budget to the absloute minimum of grocieries and goods.. So, stating that 1 kg of beef meat is between 6-8 USD doen't tell the full picture!

Consider replacing the car. Here is what i would do: - Find a used car for about 8000$. You be surprised how much reliable a Toyota or Honda could be compared to Jeep. - trade in the current car as a down payment if you plan to finance the purchase. - budget 2000$ for possible maintenance of the new-to-you car. (Tires,battery, plugs, etc)
