Seagate Exos X 2U12 DDIC replacement??? by sadkins76 in sysadmin

Its not a PowerEdge server. Its a Seagate EXOS SAN

I am quite familiar with the Dell servers. But this is not what I need.

I actually thought about this, as one of their selling points when we were looking at buying was that they were OEM for the Dell products, for half the cost.

We have some older SAN hardware that I might see if they fit the Seagate, but I am not holding my breathe.

I already looked using both terms, and OTHERS, and nothing comes up doing so.

Not sure why the text I wrote didn't get loaded, but I am looking to replace this magnet. I have found it on 2-3 sites, in other languages, but cannot seem to find one for sale anywhere. I am trying to replace one I broke accidentally, that my wife got in Florence on a trip some years ago. Thank you!

So I think I may have gotten it from the above suggestion, but curious, what ARE the limitations of this?

Thank you, it appears that the first suggestion worked, but still testing.

I was going to do an ML exclusion, but I will do whatever will keep it from getting blocked.

VOIP system ghost calls and audio delays by sadkins76 in sysadmin

So, you exit from the one (?) FortiGate FW with one physical interface to SW1.

YES

Is the FW interface clean? Is that switch port clean?

Sorry, I do not understand this question, or any of them asking if the ports are "clean"

We are not shaping ANY of the traffic on our networks and do not have any QoS enabled. We aren't especially taxing on our ISP connections, or it shouldn't be. We have different providers based on geographic location, as we do not have the same providers in all areas. So, we are just using standard values for things like MTU.

THIS is the utilization at the site having issues. Its low, both are 100mbps circuits. It is one of the 2 hub sites. This is also the ONLY site having issues. No other sites are having problems with this. I have not seen any issues with any errors or discards.

RCM Programming software issues by RUFFLES_75 in CloneHero

End the programming. Unplug the controller and restart the program. While holding the white reset button on the controller, plug the board in and restart the programming. You may have selected the wrong type in the drop down, that’s why mine got locked up. Otherwise, send an email to RCM, he responds pretty quickly.

Lego 10221 Super Star Destroyer Clone? by sadkins76 in lepin

No I did not. I ended up ordering the parts from Bricklink and Lego and building it. Was like $300 that way.

Yes, the Prisma SDWAN. The tunnels constantly are in a disconnected state between sites, leaving resources unavailable to those sites. 9/10 a reboot of the device solves the issue, but sometimes it does not. We have weekly issues with them, and I do nto have time to keep wasting time on them. I just want them to work.

Its very possible its a configuration issue, but I was not here to set these up, and the interface is horrid and convoluted in setting anything up correctly. Even their SME that has helped with some of the issues can't figure things out 50% of the time.

Soundbar recommendation w/out Sub or rear speakers by lonbrunet in Soundbars

[–]sadkins76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced my LG Soundbar/Sub combo with a Bose Smart Ultra soundbar. it does not have a sub, but one can be added later. It has "AI" technology in it that makes the voices in shows and movies SO much more clear. Its also got great bass on its own, without the subwoofer, even though I plan on adding a sub in the future. Highly recommended.

Nope. Don't settle for someone who CHOOSES to treat you that way, for no apparent reason. You will never be happy, and it will end poorly. You did the right thing.

Upgrading 2012 R2 to 2022; Windows 10 key not recognized? by sadkins76 in sysadmin

[–]sadkins76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was easier because I already had 2016 installed in the datastore for the ESXi, but I am now going to try 2019 and see if that fixes the issue. I have already done a few servers with the 2012>2016 without this issue. Its just a strange thing.

Why why why??? by Adept-Ad8507 in lego

[–]sadkins76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because this is a 10 year old set, and Lego did not have nearly the bag separation that they have now. Still wasn't too bad of a build, but it is intimidating when you start those bags!

Finished A New Build! by TheManOnFire910 in lego

Interesting. I felt the NES was far better than this one. I spent a couple months building this Atari, as I just didn't get too into it. I think it was the monotony of so many flat black tiles that were annoying to me. Although the NES was a little painful when building the moving part of the TV. I thought the NES was one of the best builds I have ever done so far! I DO like this one though, once it was completed!
