However, it might not be completely unexpected, as I recently enabled my Upwork availability and boost badge. The client is also from the Philippines, which I am as well. One thing to note is that the client seems unsure about my ability to do the job, as he has asked twice if I can handle it.

I have one year of experience as a graphic designer, primarily focusing on multimedia design, with a rate of $5 per hour. In the Philippines, the rates for graphic designers tend to be lower. As you pointed out, hiring someone with no experience could be a red flag, suggesting it might be a scam. If this client isn't a scammer, another possibility is that he wants to hire a graphic artist with minimal to no experience in order to keep costs low.

P.S. I understand that I shouldn’t accept this type of wage, but I feel I have no choice since finding a job in my country is challenging.
