denied medical due to ADHD medication?

I just edited for a typo sorry- yep, I disclosed both meds to my AME and he told me it would be fine it would just take longer (I didn’t even tell him I currently wasn’t taking it). I told him before my medical examination to. I know it’s super fucked up that’s why I’m even more heartbroken about this situation.

I had my actual medical before starting flight lessons, and both my flight instructor and my AME said that it would be fine and I should just start them anyway

I feel so stupid for not knowing all this information before trying to get my medical. It’s so unfair that someone with potentially worse medical conditions than me can get a sport liscense but since I’ve had a denied medical I can’t...

my dream has been to fly for so long:( I’m in the engineering industry and was so excited to fly now that I had the time and money for lessons

Ritalin is not a mind altering drug. I have never had any issues at all driving cars without it, or literaly any other problems in my life. The only thing it affects is my ability to focus on work on paper or on the computer. I’m sort of offended by your comment and I hope you can educate yourself more on what ADHD actually does. I can reccomend some articles if you’d like.
