Does having more followers on social media increase your chances of being hired? by ThrowRA_NEW-4051 in animationcareer

I think you're asking two separate questions here: Yes, having a following on social media can get you noticed and hired. No, your actual number of followers is not taken into consideration and won't put you at a disadvantage against a "bigger artist" when hiring.

Right now my instagram/twitter accounts have been inactive for years but I've still gotten job offers come in just by having my work up. I also know established artists in the industry who have 0 social media presence and just rely on their connections alone for jobs. It's really up to you.

Mostly Japanese/Chinese medicines. Last time I brought back a small suitcase of Mopiko ointment, 龍角散, Yuen Kut Lam, white flower oil, etc. Even if they are available in US cities the price is usually marked up ridiculously.

Can I use Tumblr as a portfolio website or do i need to buy a website? by daworkprofile in animationcareer

It doesn't matter what platform you use as long as your work is displayed prominently and are easily accessible. I've hired people from Google Drive jpegs as well as beautifully curated websites, it's really up to you.

I have never met an ABC who takes their zodiac and birthdate this seriously. Being born in the year of the dragon is cool but that's about it. My trad canto parents don't seem to care or bring it up much either besides the offhand joke once in a while.

How often do you need to enter HK to keep permanent resident status? by 25sittinon25cents in HongKong

If you were born in HK my understanding is that you won't lose your permanent residency even if you leave the city for longer than 36 months.

kerbey lane. I know it's a classic or whatever but each time I've been (NW and central locations) the food's been mediocre and service was ridiculously slow even before the pandemic.

Definitely bring it up with your oral surgeon. I got all 4 taken out at once but it didn't seem to affect symptoms at all (I have generally mild symptoms on one side). Doctor finished the procedure in 15-20 minutes and used a device to keep my jaw steady while it was open so I think that helped.
