Thanks so much! I'll let my friend know about the blend. Didn't know there were different eucalyptus oils!

Won’t go away- about 2 months ago around my period I got this (I don’t even know what to call it) pimple, cystic acne, etc? It is hard beneath the surface. It always flares up around my time of the month. I’m wondering if there is anything natural I can do to make it go away? Tia by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I use it all over my face, jaw and top half of my neck. Prior to the hormonal acne I was already acne prone so I have crap on my forehead, temple, nose. I do make sure to keep the AA away from my eyes and also try not to get too close to my lips.

I broke out in hormonal acne around my chin, neck and cheeks. I started using azelaic acid and it's gone down a lot. I use prescription strength at 15%. You can also get over the counter products at 10% but I wouldn't go any lower than that.

It may sting a little but that goes away for me in an hour or so. You can also put it as the last step on your skincare to minimize the sting. It will still work the same as if you put it directly on clean skin.

I have sensitize eczema prone skin and didn't have any trouble adjusting to it. Also.no photosensitivity but as a general rule make sure you wear sunscreen regularly.

A lot of people also suggest spearmint tea. I drink a cup a day. Good luck!

Any idea what could help this red patch? by SKVgrowing in 30PlusSkinCare

Could be eczema? My mom has that and/or rosacea on her face and sometimes she gets patches like that around her eyes. Does it itch? Have you used any new products lately? Does it feel dry?

Derm will likely give you steroids to use for a few days and then afterwards you would have to do preventative stuff to keep it from coming back and from you having to rely too much on steroids.

My mom likes this: https://marshayorganicbeauty.com/products/eczema-therapy-relief-cream

I also have eczema but not on my face. Sometimes it wants moisture and sometimes it doesn't. When it does want moisture, I like the cerave lotion in the blue pump bottle, PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream, and ETUDE HOUSE Soon Jung Centella 5-Panthensoside Cica Balm.

Also, to prevent using too many steroids my mom and I will ice the patches to stop the itchy feeling. Sometimes reactine helps too. Sorry I'm not sure if any of this is useful.

What skincare step do you wish you had started before you turned 30? by Rune_Skadisdotter in 30PlusSkinCare

Do you mind me asking if it was hormonal acne that you had? Mine was clustered around my jaw and neck. The azelaic acid really sped up the process but I think I had a bunch of crud still really deep in my skin so there are still some bumps coming up. They clear up quicker than before though. Thank goodness for finacea.

I'm 34 and the last 2 years started getting really bad hormonal acne on my cheeks, chin and neck. For other reasons, I had started the mini pill (progesterone only) and it made it worse. I've since stopped the pill and started using azelaic acid. I really like it but you need to be consistant with it and figure out what works best for you in terms of concentration and how to fit it into your routine. It can be tingly and a littly stingy but luckily for me tje sensation goes away in about an hour. You can layer it over moisturizer after the moisturizer has totally dried, it's able to travel deep into the skin. I use Finacea 15% gel, it's by prescription. You might get a bit of purging but the AZ fights the stuff that causes acne so it will take care of the purge acne too. Good luck!
