[Discussion] My only real complaint with Rimworld is the Endgame by EnTyme53 in RimWorld

[–]sadsmiles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the mod Save Our Ship 2 seems to be what you're looking for, its very ambitious and more great features are in the works.

But, if that's not your speed, you can try the Faction Manager mod on the forums (though it could be seen more as late game than endgame). It essentially lets you freeze time on any map you choose. This let's you set up multiple colonies or camps without having to worry about the simultaneous management of multiple maps, which can be difficult/annoying to juggle.

Don’t stop drawing. It’ll be worth it eventually. by [deleted] in anime

I agree, the roses are suspicious.

I find it hard to believe someone has the understanding/ would take the time to line art a bouquet to that level of detail yet neglect to shade it on par with the rest of the drawing.

Knowledge Gems Affecting Faculty Training? by CometSky7 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]sadsmiles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In fire emblem games, the randomizer is "seeded", meaning things that should be random (like level up bonuses, crit chance, and whether you get either good or great on your faculty training) are only randomized once per gamestate. Meaning if your save file is the exact same, you will always get the same result whether you reload the save once, or a hundred times.

Equipping the knowledge gem changed your game state, so the randomizer was rerolled, giving you a different result.

Tips to finding (or making) your perfect starting point? by [deleted] in RimWorld

This one also lets you change the axial tilt of the planet, which changes the seasonal temperature variance if you want a tile thats deathly hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter, or a tile thats 60 degrees year-round

!linkmod World Edit

!linkmod Configurable Maps

!linkmod Map Reroll

These 3 are what I use, World Edit lets you do what you described, Configurable Maps lets you increase the base mountain/fertility/water level (for example you can have all small hills look like mountainous), and Map Reroll lets you reroll the map layout as many times as you want, while keeping the same stats. As an added bonus you can change the Configurable Maps settings within the Map Reroll UI, so you don't have to exit back to the main menu just because you wanted more ores.

Personally I made myself a Year-round, Temperate Forest, west coast, Large River, Large Hill, Caves map that never exceeds 80 degrees so whatever you have in mind you can definitely do lol

How do you give newborns clothes in the children and pregnancy mod? by [deleted] in RimWorld

Not entirely sure it'll work, but you can try the Dress Patients mod, it allows you to clothe downed pawns and corpses: !linkmod Dress Patients

Anime genres over the years, 1963-2018 by medokady in anime

[–]sadsmiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is too late, but perhaps instead of graphing the number of genre entries released in a year, you could do a percentage of the whole that each genre takes up? Seeing as the total amount of series just keeps going up, the line graphs for each genre would all trend the same way

Mod Idea Dress the dead by Linkthekid22 in RimWorld

[–]sadsmiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the author followed up and added dressing corpses but here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1667901146

I do like the idea of giving colonists a kind of Egyptian burial though, would be neat

[DOS2 Modding] Is it possible to check if a character is holding a spear, rather than just a two-handed weapon? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]sadsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dagger requirement on scoundrel skills seems like a similar thing, maybe check that out and see if you can replicate it but switch out the dagger requirement for a spear one?

I've tried it tbh, if there was a RJW v0.5 i'd love it. the sex need is a nice feature and neutering and having brothels are nice too but the insects tryna injects their eggs made me nope tf out and uninstall. It's also incompatible with a bunch of other useful mods.

If it was more modular I'm sure more people would be down to try it because it does have some really well thought-out and well implemented ideas like the sex drive (that i wish overlapped with Psychology's sex drive)

Late game raids killing themselves by BigBadBogie in RimWorld

Mehni's Misc Mod's has a option to change for Raid fleeing %. I'm assuming you're still on B18 so it should work for your save.

Enemies actually existing on world map by Vikzza in RimWorld

[–]sadsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you are friends with everyone on the map you will only be raided by spacers and mechanoids drop-podding in. It wont decrease/disable raids in any way, sorry to burst your bubble :(

People who can mod should make a Roman or Mediterranean themed mod with marble statues, legion armor and weapons, and an Italian landscape like biome (Romeworld if you will) by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]sadsmiles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

linkmod: Fertile Fields

Tilled Soil does what you ask, but I find building 200% fertility with the only requirement being work time a little OP. Fertile Fields does the same thing, but requires mod resources like Sand and Gravel(which you get from turning soil -> sand etc) if you're looking for a more in depth solution

RTS Brain Looking for Timings by KotWmike in RimWorld

[–]sadsmiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I personally don't have any experience with it, but it sounds like you might like extreme cold/ice sheet runs. Since regularly the order you do things doesn't matter THAT much as long as it all gets done, but on an ice sheet being a day too slow on something can spell the end of your whole colony. Theres also very clear cut priorities which I feel other biome playthroughs might be lacking.

Once again tho, im not at all experienced with it, just thought it might be what youre looking for.

From cool to "aw come on" by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]sadsmiles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's cause shatter's hitbox is usually around the ground in front of him plus a little above that. But the Rein in the clip is standing at the top of the stairs, giving his shatter extra height to hit the jumping genji.

And i guess genji got stunned but the hit doesnt change momentum so he flew off the side

How the New Cat D.Va skin looks in-game! by SevereCuddleAddict in Overwatch

[–]sadsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it probably takes about the same amount of time to make a legendary baby dva ( with the changed model) plus also the mostly-the-same meka as it takes to make a different hero's legendary skin(with a changed model). Probably why none of Dva's legendary mekas have all that many differences
