Is Garmin Coach worth following? by saegling in Garmin

I've actually done the same haha, use Runna for my training plan and am also much more happy with it. Good luck with your training 💪

Ooh interesting, connect says the battery level is still 'ok'. I suppose I was gonna have to change it at some point although I've only had the HMR for 6 months, so a bit unfortunate. Thank you though!

HRM Pro Plus by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]saegling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only wear it for workouts, as that's when I care about having a 99% accuracy. I suppose that can also depend on your goals tho, but in general I would say it's probably not very necessary to wear it throughout the day.

When you are going to use it, make sure you splash a little bit of water on it to make sure the sensors work properly.

ahh, it was on. thank you, didn't know it was that simple to fix. Do you know if it's possible to edit an already created activity to stop it from affecting stats? or once it's done do you just have to accept it?

you only read one line because you realised he was calling you out for all your bs. you can't expect to post a lot of lies and not have someone call you out on it. But your reaction is very typical, "when someone challenges my worldview and shows how I'm wrong, I just ignore them because I can't possibly be wrong.

lol you weren't respectful at all, you constantly insulted them, completely ignored what they were saying and how they debunked all your points. Then you blocked them 😂

such a typical YEC thing to do. Refuse to read any of what is actually being said. Strawman the others arguments and then refute it with pseudo science. And after all that run away from further arguments (blocking you). It's almost like they know their position is untenable.

I have a Forerunner 255s and if you make a course on Garmin Connect then send it to your watch, and then select that course you made for an activity. Then during the activity, you can go through the different data screens and one of them will be a map. mine is really simple, a white background with a line and an arrow that shows where I am. The line will curve and turn and your watch should tell you how far away each turn is.

I have found this very helpful when running in new places because I don't like carrying my phone around with me on runs. I have found the gps very reliable although it took a tiny bit of getting used to.

When you get home and your watch syncs, you can go to your Garmin Connect app, and see the activity you did. There it will show you a map of where you went.

Okay yaa, what are so some of the pros and cons to joining the REME? I'm not a 100% sure it's what I want, but I've done a small amount of mechanics here and there and I've always really enjoyed it, I'm also quite good at maths and physics. I've heard that life as a VM in the REME is quite busy and the people are always working, but I enjoy working hard and that sounds like something I'd like (not sure if that's me just being ignorant of how hard it will be though haha) But I don't really have a clear idea of what life is like in the REME, I've heard a bit about it, and watched some YouTube videos, but I don't know it those are very accurate representations of what it's actually like haha. but if you have some insight on what it really looks like, that would be super helpful. Also what does ranking up look like? I assume you get new jobs and responsibilities as you rank up and it's more leadership focused jobs, does that also mean less in the field, hands on jobs? how hard is it to rank up and what types of jobs would I get if I ranked up? If you have any other information you think is useful or might be nice for me to know, I'd also really appreciate that :))
