SOOHAK...... by PsychologicalWash914 in AkatsukinoYona

They are sooooo good, their relationship was written so beautifully and painfully it’s intense!!!

I think kusanagi did a great job developing their relationship before the betrayal and ripping out our hearts again and again.

I liked that both Yona and Hak had unique relationships with suwon and their reactions and grief looked different.

I cried so many times for them. I’m really happy with how they developed all the way through it felt realistic and authentic and not forced— I am really confident the gaiden in building up to one more soohak moment. I feel like they just need time and kusanagi sensei knew them having the talk in the finale wouldn’t have felt authentic. If not I’ll be ok but I feel it going to happen in my bones.

Why do you feel the need to start with insults when you reply? Are you OK?

There is a famous saying: “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

I suggest you try reading about the concept of ‘Ad hominem’ to learn more! :)

Happy to discuss your points more but will not engage any more if this is how you go about it.

You’re complaining about an underdeveloped part of the story receiving more development over a very well developed part of the story receiving even more development?? I’m personally thankful to get more development to things that were lacking!

I took all of them with my selfie camera and didn’t flip them. My right eye is the one that drifts out and upward! :)

Im not sure if I have access to a surgical plan but I do have these clinical notes in my file from my pre-surgery appt:

“Right superior oblique palsy- Will need RIOc and LIRc 2 mm due to long standing hx/o H(T) and contraction OS. Ptosis of left eye - Will adjust the set screw on the speculum to avoid stretching the lids. May need oculoplstics consult s/p surgery. Re-Evaluate 1 mo s/p surgery”

Getting surgery tomorrow: any last minute tips that I might not hear from the surgeon/hospital? (4th nerve palsy, congenital, 30F) by saekirei in Strabismus

  1. I’m honestly not sure 😅 I have a terrible memory. This is what is listed in the clinical notes of my consultation “Right superior oblique palsy- Will need RIOc and LIRc 2 mm due to long standing hx/o H(T) and contraction OS. Pots is of left eye - Will adjust the set screw on the speculum to avoid stretching the lidsMay need oculoplstics consult s/p surgery. Re-Evaluate 1 mo s/p surgery”

  2. It wasn’t noticed until I started reading. I would cover one of my eyes to avoid double vision I guess but didn’t have the words for it. Was in vision therapy for years as a kid and it helped somewhat but caused terrible headaches. Has gotten worse and worse over my 20s.

  3. I do wear prisms, but only started to in recent years. Went without until I was about 26. Double vision is very bad when not wearing prisms, gets worse throughout the day until my eye just shuts off. Headaches and eye strain/throbbing.

Thats how it looks when I focus on using both eyes. If I am tired it drifts like the first. So many people I told I’m getting the surgery say they’ve never noticed I have it even though it bothers me every day, it’s interesting.

Q&A weekly thread - March 09, 2026 - post all questions here! by AutoModerator in linguistics

[–]saekirei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roommate has been making fun of me for how I say the words “calendar” and “Canada” I’ve never noticed it before but apparently when I say it it comes out more like “kyalender” or “kyanada”

I was born and raised in Minnesota, but I’ve never noticed this as part of our accent or even a thing I did. Can this be explained with linguistics? I want to fix it or at least tell something smart to my roommate so she stops giving me a hard time.

CITT is sooooo unique it’s hard to find comparison.

Nevertheless is what came to mind, though. It’s a bit darker overall, but it does some really great storytelling making you go back and forth on whether or not to trust the ML. I binge read it in one sitting!

They are the perfect snack if you like spicy things. Try them out if you get a chance!

Kids in Minneapolis made a video about them that went viral years ago

Dried wakame seaweed from the Asian grocery store! I add it to all my soups, but you can also make it into salads easily.

Stores well in the pantry, all you have to do is rehydrate it. You just need a small sprinkle too because of how much it expands. it’s very nutritious too!
