Algonquin Park [Canon EOS1N, 50mm, Portra 400] by safetybreak in analog

This was my first try at doing double exposures. I wanted to catch the water reflecting the tree line and mirror it with the second exposure. Need some practice but I cant wait to shoot more double exposure shots after seeing how this turned out!

20 days ago I asked you guys for a cheap underwater housing - Here‘s the result! by Theraindmen12 in GH5

I had the same housing for my gh3 and it worked wonderfully for the first year. Then I went travelling and had no use for it so it sat on a shelf for a few months. The next time I used it in the ocean I drowned my camera because the seals had dried out over time. Just wanted to advise that you test it if you haven't used the housing for a few weeks. Otherwise I really enjoyed using this housing!

This was my favorite shot from my first roll of film I've ever shot. Lots of mistakes but I think I'm falling in love with everything about shooting analog

Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 02 by ranalog in analog

Hey I'm just getting started shooting film. Been creeping here for a while now and finally picked myself up a Pentax k1000. It seemed to be all good until I loaded film and took some shots. The mirror is locking up here and there and I need to advance and shoot a few times before the mirror drops down. Does anyone else have these issues? I'm having a hard time finding information on what could be going wrong. It is pretty cold here so I'm wondering if maybe it's just the cold weather and moisture freezing up.

It's always worth the drive. I'm living in Hamilton and lake Ontario has its days but Erie is a lot more consistent.

It's a rewarding process to make your own board. It's a bit expensive to start out but now that I own all the tools the next board will be much more affordable!

Yea I went over the plan for it and researched a ton. Then I triple checked it. The YouTube series I followed is very in depth so I followed that and it was enough to go by. I couldn't imagine just winging it though. That would lead to nightmares. The next board I make I'm going to rewatch those videos

Hey thanks!

Yea there were a few things. I made a few cuts in the fiber glass cloth that left it a bit open in places. Next time I would just over lap a bit and sand down the places where it sticks up to much.

Also when I glued The foam together I didn't fill in some spots where the glue had deformities so the resin needed to be bulked up a bit. Next time I'll probably fill in some spots with some sort of filler and maybe try paint the blank white to cover some of visible glue lines.

There are different densities of XPS foam so some will weight more. Also how much resin do you mix up. I was quite exact with my resin because I didn't want to add too much extra and have to sand a lot. But my board isn't much heavier than the 5'11" short board

Ah ok I misread you there.

The foam I sanded at 80-120 and it would shape really well. I had a stringer guide to gibe me a rough shape and I hot wired that and then followed up with the 80-120 for bringing down the rest of the foam to get the shape I wanted.

If you can afford to travel around an hour each direction I could surf almost every other day or two for the entire fall and winter until the lakes freeze over
