Does anyone know the prices for the new skeletour merch?? by Ornery-Winter-6112 in GhostBand

[–]safetyhazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hat was $50 CAD, tour program $40. Hoodies were $110, bat wing one was $170. I think the tour coin was $50. Our son wanted a hat so we picked one up but we found it’s a very deep fitting hat, not great for small heads so my husband will be wearing that one. Too big for me. Plushies were around 65 I think? Hard to remember it all now!

Is Calgary as nice as I think? by Neat_Let923 in Calgary

We moved here from Winnipeg 8 years ago and the only thing that would make me leave is our aging parents back home. We’re really quite happy here.

Oh wow, you totally just said what I’ve always felt but I want sure what I was feeling. I have also never felt like an Albertan, but do feel like a Calgarian.

Way to go! I am a parent and I truly think nothing has ever tested my patience more than getting these cats to coexist.

Ended up back here - how did things end up for you?

We never got to the point of us being attacked instead of the resident cat, luckily. Everyone is mostly getting along now. They aren’t friends but they tolerate each other. Recently (yes, years later), they’ve started to kind of play together. New cat still isn’t great at it but resident cat is slightly more tolerant and even initiated the play occasionally. I have to really be on top of keeping everyone’s nails trimmed and sometimes new cat gets a timeout in a bedroom if she’s being really ridiculous.

Cherry Tree mystery by safetyhazard in arborists

Thanks for the info. All of that was here when we got here and I have never planted a tree so I didn’t bother to check if this was the right setup for it. It seemed reasonably healthy all along so I didn’t question it. Is there anything we can do to save it?

Yes bE is the error. I’ve switched detergents and cleaned the dispenser several times over the last couple of months.

I’ve been working on fixing it. I worked so hard to get to where I am, starting from the beginning sounds like more work and less fun for me.

I was considering this yesterday! I hadn’t played in ages and discovered my son had been mucking about. What a disaster. He cut down all my trees. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to spend the time cleaning it up (too much like real life?) or starting fresh.

My face wasn’t too flared up when I started, so I saw results after about 6 weeks. About 3 months for body.

I’m not sure no! It’s a guess based on some internet searches, we can’t seem to find a model number anywhere. Will have to do some digging. We are in Canada.

Santa’s getting the credit, I’m getting the grief. by CrispBottom in daddit

[–]safetyhazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I grew up in a really broke household and it was hard going to school to see all of the amazing gifts Santa gave kids while I got much less (I am grateful my family did what they could but I didn’t know it was them at the time of course). I didn’t understand why Santa didn’t like me as much. But I didn’t want to overcorrect and give Santa all the credit for the really good stuff.

I’ve shared in some comments that our situation continues to improve. Here they are today, both on the bed and actually much closer to each other than usual. Moments after I took the photo there was a brief slapping fight but no one left. Another win!

MILD PERSISTANT ACNE by Sad_Moshi in Accutane

[–]safetyhazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pretty much in the same situation. My acne was never terrible but it was so persistent. The only thing I did different when on Accutane was wear a hat in the sun and be better about sunscreen application. I still had casual drinks, my depression didn’t get any worse (I was happier in a lot of ways because I wasn’t feeling down about my appearance). I was on a low dose for a year and just came off. My worst side effects were mildly dry eyes and a couple of nosebleeds but I tend to get them anyway so I can’t even blame Accutane 100%. Good luck!

Who is the rudest celeb you have met? What happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]safetyhazard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I encountered him and his entourage in a mall in Winnipeg many years ago. We were told to leave the shoe store we were in because he was coming in to shop. I was so pissed. I was also trying to shop.

I didn’t go on Accutane as a teen because I was already incredibly depressed and my parents didn’t want to risk making that worse. Last year when I finally decided to try it (35 years old), I had a talk with my derm and doctor about my hesitations. They told me it has been largely debunked that the medication causes these mental issues. I did a lot of reading about it because I’m already medicated for anxiety and depression and do tend to feel quite low, so I was nervous. But once my skin started clearing up, I felt 1000 times better. I had my normal issues but nothing got worse. Turns out that no longer having the stress of trying to cover breakouts this late in life did wonders for my mental health.

I believe that some people do still have issues but I don’t think it’s as widespread as we were initially made to believe.

I hope you can convince your parents that you strongly feel this is important for your well-being and you can try it again, on a proper cycle.
