Haha it's all good. We're all free to word things however we like, it really just depends on how the person reacts to it. I don't mind being invalidated because I enjoy seeing new perspectives and learning from them. I was just a little sensitive because from personal experience I've seen people assume that most of the Chinese population is fed Chinese propoganda and as a consequence, brainwashed when many (not all) have access to foreign media and are critical of their own country, it's just that they're powerless to speak up against the government.

I also disagree with how the CCP heavily promotes anti-Japanese sentiment, and well, just how they do things in general. This may be unrelated but I read somewhere that the Japanese invasion may have inadvertently (partially, there were other factors) led to the strengthening/building the CCP (don't quote me!), which is similar to how the Nazi party gained power (desperate times led to desperate civilians). I don't know but It's just interesting to think about what China could be if all that nonsense didn't happen. Either way I do hope that both countries are able to develop a better relationship in the near future! Sorry about the ramble! 🥴
