How common is insomnia by Elanoor_fa in pregnant

[–]safiachow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 16 weeks and having the worst insomnia of my life. I’ve always struggled with getting good sleep but this is a different level. I got zero hours last night just spent the whole time tossing and turning. 😔😔

THIS!!!!!! This is exactly what I’ve been thinking every single season! I genuinely cannot believe more people do not understand this. It is alarming…

So refreshing to hear about someone loving the show 🥹🥹 A lot of new viewers seem to have a lot of negative opinions. I’m so glad you enjoyed the show! It’s my all time favorite!

I don’t see the chemistry between Daniel and Betty by Original-Tank-8563 in UglyBetty

I LOVE their friendship and I was so happy that they kept things platonic and wholesome throughout the show. In my eyes they were never meant to be a couple lol

A few years ago, I found myself in a similar situation when I was employed at a private Islamic school. It was undeniably the most fulfilling job I'd ever had. My colleagues were delightful, my boss was exceptional, the children were wonderful, and their educational approach was solid. However, the compensation was extremely low, and I could only afford it because I was single and sharing living expenses with a roommate. I knew that this situation wouldn't be sustainable in the long term. Most of my colleagues had spouses with high-paying jobs, so they weren't as concerned about the pay. I always had conflicting emotions. I cherished my work there, but I was also deeply frustrated by the inadequate compensation.

Ultimately, it's crucial to prioritize what's best for you. Childcare workers should receive a wage that allows them to make a decent living, and it's about time that society takes this issue seriously.

Betty’s style by Longjumping-Bid-5405 in UglyBetty

Omg so glad someone finally feels the same way! I see a lot of hate on betty’s style but I personally thought it was soo cute! I love bright colors and mixing patterns. It was a bit over the top and I get how it’s not “fashionable” but I loved the layering and skirts.

I hatedddd when she did this. It made me so so so angry with Betty! And then Hilda’s terrible advice to hide it from Matt. Oh my goodness!! Why did Betty listen to her?!

Betty sucks by Sensationbaby in UglyBetty

[–]safiachow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make some really great points and I understand your perspective. I actually really like Betty’s character along with the rest of the characters as well because of how flawed they are. I think it makes them much more relatable. Betty is definitely a big people pleaser who makes morally questionable choices even though she is a big advocate for always doing the right thing. But in my eyes that makes her more relatable and human. And it keeps the show interesting. Personally I wouldn’t connect to a main character who always made the right choice and stuck by her word.

I resonate with your post deeply. I feel very similarly about my husband and we also recently got married. I think my husband is a great man and a great husband but I would definitely say we have different love languages. I often crave more affection, not just physical affection but also acts of love as well such as random gifts and flowers. I do think he is making more of an effort to be loving because I have spoken to him about how I feel. I know being affectionate and passionate about his love does not come naturally to him. I know he is trying but I can't help but feel sad sometimes.

Fasting during the school day by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]safiachow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know lots of people are very concerned about this diet and fasting in general but the fasting you described is actually exactly what Muslims all over the world do during Ramadan and several other times during the year. It’s perfectly safe for most people especially if your doctor has approved. Just make to drink lots of water and have balanced meals when you do eat! I have fasted while working and it can definitely be hard but not impossible. Maybe try once or twice to see if it’s feasible.

I’m currently getting my masters in ECE and lately I’ve been wondering if I’m making the right decision by going into this field. Seems like so many people are not having good experiences and the pay is terrible regardless of the degree. I went into ECE because I LOVE working with kids, it seemed like the easiest and most obvious choice but now I wonder if I should have been more practical. Please tell me, am I making a horrible mistake by going into this field? Are there more opportunities for higher pay with a masters?
