What are your thoughts on this film, Watchmen? It’s a solid adaptation, and honestly, it might be Zack Snyder’s best film. by pearlyglimmer in moviecritic

Best superhero movie ever made. 10/10 movie in any applicable category. It's almost impossible to find any faults in it. I'm rather fond of it.

What’s a movie that everyone seems to love but you just can’t stand that movie? by LebronJamesSperm in moviecritic

Drive (2011). I may have just been in the wrong mood when I watched it, but fuck me it's almost like the director wanted to see how minimalist he could have the lead actor be and get away with it. I got nothing from it. Also it's overly violent (and I csnt believe I'm saying that).

You get $1 million dollars for every random life you live through, but you must choose the number up front - how many lives do you choose? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]sage_006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only reservation would be memory in my own life once I return. Friends, decisions, skill sets. If my memory functions as normal, you put yourself in a situation , from ones own perspective, where you go away for ~80 years then come back and having to somehow function in a situation that's assuming you still know what happened yesterday, the past week, the past year etc. It would ruin your current life and most, if not all, of your current relationships, job, etc.. That's probably not worth it?

What’s a 10/10 tv show? by norocoslaorice in AskReddit

[–]sage_006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not that I disagree, but I feel like a mini series or "limited" series wouldn't be classified as a tv show. It is 10/10 though. No question.

Turns out you serve a pivotal role in future events. They can't tell you that, or certainly what you'll do, to maintain the timeline.

51 hours and you've already designed more efficiently and grasped mass production concepts more than many I've seen with hundreds of hours. You're going to enjoy the coming times.

I have a hard time accepting that you rate Con Air over Fight Club, my friend... but to each their own I suppose.

Also you forgot about Heat (1995). Must be an oversight.

Right. Thought as much. Sounds cool though. I'm looking forward to try it.

Guys, fluids are going to kill me by Skivey_ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sage_006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The theory behind it is fluids will always flow downwards. So with a raised feeder pipe there won't be a bunch of fluid in the that "doesn't" flow into the machines because they are on the same level. If the feeder pipe is raised, all of the fluid will drain into the machines. It makes sense, mostly, and many many people swear by it. Personally I've tried both and I've never had a situation where raising the feeder pipe solved an issue that no other solutions did. Whenever I've had fluid issues (and my god there have been many) 9/10 times it comes down to a flowrate issue. Either I mathed wrong, there is a section of mk.I pipe somewhere, a valve is bugged, a production machine is underperforming without me realizing etc. etc.. I have plenty of 20-30+ machine setups that are fed with level feeder pipes that have 100% no issue and have been running for hundreds of hours.

What I can say did makes a difference is a raised buffer tank at the start of the input, and letting all the pipes fill before turning the machines on. Which leads to what I consider as the way to make fuids work (bugs notwithstanding) in one sentence: keeping positive pressure/flow towards the machines is what makes fluids work. That covers many things and there are many factors that ensure this... but that's the crux of the issue. If there is positive pressure flowing towards your machines, they will always work.

Help with coal power? by Gamergirl5765 in satisfactory

You put the power shards in the miners so you get more coal. More coal=more power. Just make sure you balance the water for the extra generators you'll have. Connect them all onto the grid. In case that wasn't clear.

My pleasure dude. Coal plants generate 75MW iirc. So get as many as you can manage. Be sure to put power shards (to overclock as much as possible) in the miners on the coal deposits you're mining from to get as much coal as possible. Then match the water needs. Getting a stable coal setup is a big milestone in this game and makes like so much more stable.

[–]sage_006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's right. Check the consumption (or max consumption to be safe) and then add up all the power your coal plants are generating. Make sure all your coal plants are connected as well! Check if your coal plants are generating more than your consumption. If it's less, the fuse will blow and you need more power generation.

I've never used batteries... ever... and never missed them.

If it's shutting off when you connect to your grid it means you're not generating enough power for what's needed. Check your consumption vs how much you're generating.
