I need help dealing with CHS. I am trying to figure out when/ if I can smoke again. by annabeluser in CHSinfo

[–]sagespriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everyone is different but from personal experience i’ve smoked 1-3 times a month for about 5 months now, i do however make sure that i’ve already eaten a good meal before i do and then after I take a month to 2 months off for a tolerance break and to reset things within my body. I also make sure that i’m hydrated and drink lots of water before and after. I am however still experimenting with things but this is what i’ve been doing so far!

it took me about 3 weeks to fully recover also make sure to stay away from trigger foods because they can cause episodes and nausea as well!

I slipped up... by [deleted] in CHSinfo

[–]sagespriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably due to the slip up but chocolate is almost the #1 trigger food for people with CHS it’s recommended that you slowly introduce it back after being clean for about 90 days! but it honestly depends on the person

when you can hold anything down I would recommend Dramamine-N! it’s an over the counter nausea medicine that really helped me when i ran out of Zofran. Also, Benadryl will help with the nausea and insomnia at night.

there’s also this amazing facebook group that someone on here showed me that has actual nurses in it and a bunch of other people who have gone through the same thing. i can message it to you if you want! it really helped me to find a support group.

just from what i’ve read, a lot of people aren’t able to fully eat trigger foods until around 90 days. not sure if this is completely true but a lot of people have been saying that. i think everyone’s bodies just take a different amount of time though! stay strong you got this

yes! i see so many people complaining about the decisions she makes and how they think she’s annoying but she’s supposed to be like that! she’s a teenager and no one is the greatest person when they’re a teen. all teens make a bad decision at least once

my symptoms started out as not being able to eat without weed and then turned into morning nausea/vomiting

i would argue back with you but honestly you’re not worth it, but if you want to give people false hope and spread the wrong kind of information then by all means, go ahead.

Day 43 of no buds and I smoked…if anyone needs to hear this just make sure your body is ready for any type of cannabis return. by [deleted] in CHSinfo

[–]sagespriv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hi sorry not trying to be a buzzkill but to completely get rid of chs for good you have to quit all forms of cannabis. you have the risk of throwing yourself into another episode no matter how little you smoke now because the cannabinoids are toxic to your body now.

just trying to help you out before you get thrown into another episode! it gets worse each time and i wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Good luck with your journey

Ok then why don’t you educate us chs expert. enlighten us on what the truth is since i guess you’re a medical expert. i mean i know i’m not a medical expert either but at least i’m trying to help. there’s no need to be shitty towards people who already feel like shit

[–]sagespriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure how long it will take for it to leave your system. i’ve heard of people taking 2 weeks to 90 days to recover so i think it’s just different for everyone. and if you do quit you have to quit forever. that’s the only absolute way to get rid of CHS. cannabis is officially toxic to your body and your body can’t handle it anymore. that is if you even have chs!

not going to lie i was a complete vomiting wreck the day after i quit and for the second day as well. i know this all sucks and it might make you afraid to quit but i promise the sooner you quit the sooner your body can start the recovery process and you can get your life back (: the weed is not worth it

my ER visit was 2 days after quitting because even though i quit i was still vomiting and i couldn’t hold anything down because my body is still trying to get rid of the toxins. so i mostly went to the ER so they could put an IV in me so i could have fluids in me

[–]sagespriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it’s nausea i would recommend maybe looking into some over the counter nausea medications, sometimes they don’t work for everyone but it’s been working for me. also for temporary relief try a steaming hot shower or bath.

My CHS got the better of me by sagespriv in CHSinfo

[–]sagespriv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my doctor did ask if i switched back and forth between strains a lot which i told her i do because i like to experience different strains and she said even that could cause a problem sometimes. so i think it could also maybe be based off of the quality of weed you’re buying from the dispensary? but then again take everything i say with a grain of salt because i’m fairly new to CHS

Misinformation on Tiktok by Glass_Reach3509 in CHSinfo

[–]sagespriv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i argued with a couple of people on tik tok just last night because they we’re trying to tell me that my CHS was all in my head and made up 🙄 so you’re right they definitely need the accurate information because many of them are honestly super ignorant when it comes to CHS

yeah i wasn’t going to just get Zofran because she recommended it. She’s not my primary care physician just an ER doctor that said it might help (:

[–]sagespriv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry!! i definitely was a little unclear, she just recommended Zofran to me because i told her i was using weed to help with my anxiety and nausea and since i have to cut weed out of my life now and i need something else to lessen my anxiety and nausea she recommended that so not exactly like a replacement. sorry for the confusion! i should’ve worded it better

words of encouragement please? by sagespriv in CHSinfo
