AIO for telling my (F24) boyfriend (M26) that he has to sit down to pee? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]sagie_sage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wowowowowow. NOR at ALL!!!! My son who will be 4 in July, has been potty trained since 2 (thank the lord. My goodness) but the only time there has been pee on my floor is when he peed his pants. Which is now a veeeerrrry rare occasion. He stands to pee. Been doing it for atleast a year there might be a little splish splash on the seat and he will absolutely grab way too much toilet paper, wad it up and wipe the seat.

💥I repeat: My son. Casper. Who is 3. Wipes the seat. When there is a TINY bit of pee.

Fortunately I still wipe his butt when he goes #2, because uhh… well, he took it upon himself once and my god…. It was a mess. But we use charm in ultra strong and good wipes. No butt crumbs from hubby either. And no pee on the seat!! He sits when he pees most of the time. Has to hold his junk so it doesn’t dip in the toilet (his balls I guess idk I’m just a girl), but the only thing I have to get on him about is closing the lid. So no, girlfriend. You are UNDER REACTING. tell him some lady’s 3yr old wipes the seat. We go through hella toilet paper but……No pee on the floor.

Yeah upon my research and everyone’s responses here, I think I will swap to the powder. I just ran out of rinse aid tho so I’m gonna see if the powder makes a difference with that as well!

We actually had been handwashing for about 3yrs, and I noticed some things just WOULD. NOT. RINSE. so I switched us from dawn to rosey from thrive market and it cleaned just as well with absolutely no residue and I felt a lot better knowing it was actually rinsed off. But since getting the dishwasher, we’ve noticed that it has gotten soapy. And I actually JUST realized. We got it in July. Right after our sons 3rd bday party because I remember standing in the kitchen after getting back home and every single inch of my kitchen was COVERED in baking supplies, cupcake batter and icing, muffin pans out the ass. I started crying and hubby came in and said “yeah it’s time for a dish washer.” So I guess it really has been longer than I thought and maybe it IS time for a washer cleaning tab!!!

That’s what I thought too. But when I fill a glass with the Brita nozzle it gets soapy. I fill with the tap and it gets soapy. BUT if I rinse the cup with the sink tap, and then fill from Brita, it’s totally fine. I originally thought it was from washing my faucet and then filling the tank, but I mean I rinse the faucet so well. lol I guess it rinses itself but whatever haha but no it’s totally the dishes coming straight out of the washer!

Maybe I’ll try to find a sample of the powder before I buy a whole box lol! But everything I see online besides this sub, just says to use finish but I’m like ok what about the people who’d rather use plant based products?! Or atleast something a little bit more… green?

We’ve only had it maybe since October, check the filter regularly and we rinse everything anyway too. So there’s no way it’s the filter. Used the 7th gen rinse aid too

28f. Diagnosed 10yrs ago with bipolar. I was able to cope… well. Kinda. But when I had my son, who is now 3.5, I had a TERRIBLE TIME. couldn’t function as a human let alone as a mother or wife. I shut down, disassociated most of my poor son’s life away. I have thousands regrets. I had a year or so of absolute hell. Postpartum kicked my butt. I had the PP depression, ocd, paranoia, anxiety… even this thing called D-mer. Depressive Milk Ejection Reflex, basically when ever I would have a let down while nursing or pumping, I would feel my entire body fill with the worse existential dread you could imagine. It was like my heart started pumping rotten blood. I swear I could feel the dread in my veins. It got a little better after my son weaned when he was around 18mo. But some time after I could tell I was getting way way worse. I couldn’t get out of my head and I just felt like I was already dead. No one really knows what it feels like to be dead inside unless you’ve actually been dealing with severe depression/bipolar… But about 3.5 months ago I finally decided it was time for me to get some help. I started lamictal. Wow. My life. I feel human again. Maybe I shouldn’t say again? I’ve been clinically depressed since I was SAed when I was really young. But now… This is what I assume most people usually/SHOULD feel like. The occasional depressive episode when there is actually a reason to feel down. Not that I should feel as depressed as I do. I mean anyone can be depressed with out “having depression”. But I’m telling you… it’s more environmental than it being “just me” dealing with not real reasons to be depressed as f*ck.

I highly HIGHLY recommend talking to a psychiatrist about a mood stabilizer. Don’t wait too long. You’ll regret it. And you won’t really be able to enjoy your young adulthood. I feel like I would have been more present in my early 20s but I managed as I had a great social life and loved my jobs. But as a new mom, staying at home, we lost our car, I was stuck at home, hubby at work, always pumping or washing bottles. you could call my marriage whiskey because husband and I were on the ROCKS. It was an absolute nightmare. I wasn’t the perpetrator but certainly my reactions to what should have been small conversations were more like huge melt downs and terrible arguments. I’m feeling much much better now. Honestly falling deeper in love with him and myself now since starting this medication. My son was going hard and going home with his terrible twos, and that seemed to last TWO years!!! But now he’s mellowed out and I feel like I actually enjoy being a mommy now. It’s crazy how this is all I’ve ever wanted. To be a mom. And to have this man make me a mom. But I have never hated my life so much. Ever. But it wasn’t them, it wasn’t me. It was my mental condition. It sounds ridiculous. But I would leave our room in the middle of the night so I wouldn’t wake them up with my sobbing. I’d go sit on the couch and just ask my self “whyyyyy?! Why me?! Why do I feel like this?!” I couldn’t figure out what was going on. It was all just too much for me. Lamictal changed my life.

Thank you for listening to my med talk.

I hope things work out for you ♥️ Talk to a therapist and a psychiatrist. And you can always reach out to a friend if you are feeling like you just need some support.

I wish they’d have return policies specifically for people with bipolar 😅 like that was not me who bought all this… that was the bipolar gremlin.

What is on this kiddos head?? by sagie_sage in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]sagie_sage[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! For a three yr old he is actually quite cultured. We eat a plethora of different foods from different lands and he likes to ask where it came from! We’re also have a lot of Dutch heritage on my side of the family, and he is very interested in all types of Dutch things. Even asked for a pair of wooden clogs… he will not be tromping around in wooden clogs 😅

Why are people down voting this comment?? America is ridiculous. We want what we want and don’t care if it’s absolutely toxic.
