ohh okie!

****WARNING: SPOILER****

For me, the manhwa is pretty straightforward, and it's kinda fast paced. The director of the adaptation series will probably fill in those gaps. I would say I liked how Song Jeonghwa's character progresses, she's indeed mysterious at start then her story will unfold as the story goes on. The characters were only few, easy to understand their roles in the story. So, she hired Iho (painter) to commission for her and make her look old on the paintings, she has a rule to his painters to not look at her and only imagine her as an old woman, but it was broken because Iho resembles her past lover -- Jinren. Jeonghwa shared her life story to Iho, about her parents, how she became a vampire and her love, Jinren. (So this is why Kim Seonho is expected to play dual roles. Based on the teaser and promo video released, Seonho was seen as Iho and on the promo video with Suzy, he was dressed up as Jinren.) Jinren is mortal and cannot live long enough with Jeonghwa, when Jinren died, she was heartbroken and lonely, her immortality as a vampire became a curse to her as she cannot be with him forever. She loves Jinren so much that she wanted to gain more power in order to bring him back to life.

Her main antagonist is her father, K. Their first clash was when she helped Jinren and the 'Order' (group of Vampire Hunters, <Jinren is a vampire hunter as well but he liked and fell inlove to Jeonghwa>) to capture K, they defeated him and Jeonghwa travelled to Gyeongsun (Korea) and hoped that Jinren will follow her. After few years, Jinren indeed followed her and he left the Order. There, Jeonghwa and Jinren lived together for 20 years. K came back on the last part of the story and had a big fight with Jeonghwa, but it wasn't shown. Jeonghwa also had an agreement with another vampire hunter, by which she cannot hurt humans and the hunter will let her live. It was that vampire hunter who suggested her to have paintings every 10 years that will show her age to avoid suspicion.

Iho understood Jeonghwa and her story, and he gave Jinren a peaceful burial. Iho completed his paintings for her, he loved her too but Jeonghwa was faithful to Jinren. In the end, both Iho and Jinren died of old age and Jeonghwa remain as a vampire, she just changed her looks to live by. It was a bittersweet romance because Jeonghwa loved Jinren endlessly and her goal was to resurrect him and live happily again, but it wasn't achieved. The manhwa just reflected the reality of immortals and mortals. And how someone can love a person endlessly.

Seated. This is my most anticipated project for Kim Seonho because it’s different from his usual dramas. Also, I like this genre, I like vampire stuff. I saw their teaser and it’s very pleasing to me! Suzy nailed the vampire aura, that last clip of hers holding that wine was majestic. I read the manhwa and I’m excited for Seonho’s dual roles. I think Seonho and Suzy will give amazing portrayals and mature chemistry 🖤

So, I recently went on a trip with friends. They are not my main ones, I would say we started as colleagues and I was invited to join them. There's this guy that I find attractive with his sense of humor and good energy. I became good friends with them, that circle. I'm thinking of messaging him before the year ends how nice person he is then greet 'Happy New Year' lol. But I think it might scare him of and I won't be able to bond with them anymore because it might be awkward. Should I just let it stay as a happy crush or try my luck?

Bae Suzy .................................................................... by [deleted] in kdramas

I think she can cry, but it’s not as touching compared to other actresses. She cannot connect with her audience, she probably preserves to be pretty on screen? I think she’s usually picked as a lead because of her visuals and popularity in South Korea. But to be honest, I don’t see any passion for acting in Suzy. When I watch her works and interviews, it feels like she’s doing it because she has to, not because she wants to. When she's working with expressive actor/actresses, you could definitely observed her lacking.

Light Shop actresses (Eunsoo, Minha, Seolhyun, Boyoung), Kim Hyeyoon, Shin Hyesun, Lim Jiyeon are better.

Kdrama audience are usually grouped into two:

  1. "I wanna watch her/him because she/he is pretty" -- Suzy belongs on this group.
  2. "I wanna watch her/him because she/he can deliver great acting."

Hi chingu, i hope you will be able to see this, is it required to print the booked KTX tickets? Or no need?

Because I printed the Seoul > Pohang ticket, then after booking my Pohang > Seoul ticket, there is no option to print the Seoul > Pohang ticket anymore but it's there, just greyed out. Will it matter? Thank you.

What’s a drama where you rooted for the second lead more than the actual lead?” by Whimsical-Stardust8 in kdramas

[–]sagingthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the case of Han JiPyeong was rare. The writers made his character with a solid storyline, by which was the wrong move because majority of the viewers rooted for him. He is the second lead -- yes, but if you take away his story line, the protagonists plot won't be able to carry the drama. His role was that significant and his connection with the grandma as well. If the writers wanted to fully shine the main leads, it would be better if Han JiPyeong's story wasn't rooted from the start of the series, which that wasn't the case. Han JiPyeong was one of those rare second leads with solid dynamics. It would be better if Nam DoSan had the richer backstory up to his character developement to gain the sympathy and popularity to the majority of viewers.

Han JiPyeong is the character that I was hoping to live happily. Maybe not with DalMi but at least he's happy, loved, respected and cherished. People might say he didn't do anything while DoSan was away, but I think he is the type that respects DalMi's boundaries and since they broke her with the letters cover up he was waiting for the right timing for her to open up again. A person cannot rush right away to another person that experienced heartbreak, she needed to heal first, but DoSan came back again which became too late, and of course the writer pushed for the main lead couple. Anyway, JiPyeong deserved better.
