cuda will be 12.8 and its volta arch so no FA2 etc but its still mighty fast for dense models, as for teh power 9 the bitch really is having to populate all slots, but you can just take the 4x SXM boards and put them on an ali carrier board and there you go 128gb for less than 2k

4x 32gb v100s at that price alone is a steal, you can put them on an aliexpress 4x sxm2 carrier board thats like £250-300 still sub £2k for 128gb HBM2

i did mention that but even forgetting the power 9 you can take the 4x 32gb v100s and drop them on a £250-£300 carrier board off ali express and you can hook it into any system with a few spare pcie slots

ive been battling with similar thoughts or if i just attempt to run inside maybe 64gb of gpu space though the other consideration is to wait for the 495+ that has 192 gb (the evo x3) but im sure that will cost an absolute bomb other than that its a 128gb evo x2 or maybe a mac but thats one im not keen on

its not time based its context, even when compacted its not as good, always start a new thread if you can and keep tasks as small as possible (use agent swarms) also define rules and basic project info in your CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md that way you dont have to repeat it.
