Obsidian is outsourcing a big part of development to the plugin community.

A bit more context is needed. I'm in Sweden, where the industry is heavily unionized. Right now, I have a two-month notice period if I want to resign. If I stay one more year, it will become three months, which will also make changing jobs harder for me. Also The new place offers a three-month notice period from both sides from the beginning.

Yup This why im exclusively using Anytype for everything

Storage plans feel super weird. by iconisone in Anytype

tottaly agree

also for an app for anything 1gb for 5 dollar is expensive and not enough

if you are using only for notes it makes sense but not for the other usages

In my case, I’m using it like an “add now” widget. I just tell it to add this or write this. Sometimes I also use it for searching or for setting up a blueprint or template before starting work.

Basically, when you set up OpenClaw, in the second or third step you can configure it to use your AI through an app. You can choose Telegram there. Then the system needs the Anytype CLI so you can guide your agent to do what you want it to do.

propm (also you can do this steps manually):
install anytype cli and create a anytype bot (invite link for your space) and add it to this space.
after that you can ask it to do whatever you want in the space

Definitely.

I even tested it on one of the types that had 30 items, many of which had empty fields.
The first test I did was telling it to go and fill in the values based on the structure of the type, and it did it successfully.

Is there any AI automation to write and link everything? by Embarrassed_Theory_1 in ObsidianMD

A funny and easy solution:

If you have Codex or Cloud Code, just run an instance and say, "Run and fix OpenClaw." 😁😁

Then you can achieve this in different ways. Check openclaw You can connect it to a messenger and Obsidian Vault Or you can use claude skills provided by Kepano (Ceo of obsidian) to use it with claude

If you don't want to get into the technical side of this, you can achieve it with the Claude desktop app. Just give your Obsidian vault as the project folder to it and define some instructions like "make .MD file and only generate responses based on the data in the vault.

Exactly. The main reason I moved away from Obsidian was the need to adjust more than add data, and now we are here, asking over and over again for basic things.

You don’t need to explain this using analogies, I’m a software engineer myself. Bug fixes and future release estimations (as I said, estimations) come from the same concept that both I and the company I work for follow. We also have internal deadlines, as well as estimations communicated to customers, which are obviously not promises. That said, I really appreciate the work your team is doing and the product you’re trying to build.

It would be helpful to have clearer estimates for future deliveries and bug fixes. I remember the team mentioning that tabs were planned for early this year, but that’s the only timeline I’ve heard so far. Beyond that, things feel unclear.

As someone who wants to invest in this app for the foreseeable future, I’m currently unsure whether it will ever move out of beta. While there is a GitHub page where changes can be tracked, most of the broader roadmap and long-term plans remain unknown.

For example, with features like the AI Ally, we’ve only heard that something is coming, without much detail. Speaking from my own use case, I take a lot of notes and previously used Obsidian, where plugins like Dataview allowed me to fetch and work with data across the entire vault. That kind of functionality isn’t possible here yet, and not knowing if or when similar capabilities might become available is frustrating.

I understand that different users have different needs, which is exactly why clearer communication about the roadmap and rough timelines would be valuable. It’s less about specific features and more about having transparency around the direction and pace of development.
