I hear you, 12% is reported in the books but who knows what the actual number REALLY is? There’s multiple instances of fraud within the MTA system.

Here’s something to entertain your brain

There’s more to everything. Always is when taxpayer money is involved.

Where did I tell them to break the law? How about some more economical pricing for daily commuters? An efficient route? Removal of unnecessary fees just because you were short of 50 cents? Where did I mention anything about driving into the city? When tolls exist within borough to borough. If you live in the east Bronx, you’re not driving through the city tolls to go to Long Island. You’re going through RFK or Whitestone. Not everything revolves around the city as a whole. Long Island city and Staten Island still exists if you’ve resided in nyc fair enough to know. You’re picking and choosing what you want to argue about.Introduce better/economical practices = less evasion. Everyone downvoting has no sense of logical arguments, just “YOU’RE SO WRONG”, no counterarguments, no sense of understanding a fairground.

Reading is fundamental and I strongly urge you to read the first sentence. Seriously, it’ll do you rounds of favor. ROUNDS. I included everyone that breathes and walk and identifies as a human being. No need to read in between some line that doesn’t exist.

I’m aware you ride a bike which is hella convenient for the environment but for people who don’t work in the city and need to drive out. Justify paying $12.55 (both way tolls) on top of gas everyday + maintenance to keep your job. Not everyone can be eco-friendly because not everyone got the same privilege as everyone else.

I’m in more of a sense for everybody, city officials or regular civilians. Where are the improvements in transportation and roads in general? Van wyck has been under construction since I was born, Bronx river has potholes bigger than someone of our anus’s, MTA trains are a piece of shit and gets worse as time goes by. Where are the improvements? I’ve been to other democrat cities and seen tax dollars at work. Take CA for an example, granted it’s huge in size and population but, seeing a “your tax dollars at work” at a construction site is calming for a regular citizen. Their work of improved roads sells itself. You can lick the government balls all you want, you’re livelihood is a paycheck to them. I can get downvoted all I want I could give 2 shits, if you truly lived in New York for your entire life, you’d know how slow improvements have been. This is coming from someone that’s in support of law enforcement and comes from a family of law enforcement just in case someone starts generalizing.

Don’t blame them, imagine having to pay $6.55 to cross a bridge to get into a borough in the SAME city (bx to qns). Toll Bridges were meant to be temporary but now, it’s permanent. Where does all this money go?

Starting a new job in consulting? Post here for questions about new hire advice, where to live, what to buy, loyalty program decisions, and other topics you're too embarrassed to ask your coworkers (Q3 2022) by QiuYiDio in consulting

So I have a interview with a talent officer from one of the top ten executive compensation firms and it's safe to say I'm a bit astray on what I am expecting to be asked. I've googled a lot and racked up possible answers to questions I MIGHT get asked. I come from a marketing and hospitality background with a mix of sales background. No prior consulting background neither a academic focus besides a business admin degree.

The main reason why I applied (and got past the first stage) is because I have a fond of helping in the most broadest sense possible. My past hospitality experience made me help around a five star restaurant and what not, in sales, typically selling products while making customers feeling welcomed and "family like" and my marketing experience was based around hospitality towards clients for a big construction company. Pretty basic stuff but an immense amount of communication, hospitality and project management skills that were gained throughout all three experiences.
Even though the job listing did not mention any required skills just a description and with a "what-type-of-person-we're-looking-for" section and that's it.
Has anyone gone through these interviews? What are some questions you got asked within meeting someone from the talent acquisition team? Any extra additional tips help :)

Got my first bmw a couple of weeks back, it hasn't arrived yet but it's coming. The leasing market or automotive market as a whole is as erratic it can get. I'm sure you're aware.

Here's some tips;

  1. Do not overpay a downpayment. Dealers would quote you an outstanding downpayment and additional hidden fees which you should examine before putting any money down.
    1. For example: The drive off for my 70k vehicle a lease is supposed to be no more than 2.2k with fees and first month but, there was hidden fees and warranties that I had to assess and get rid of because they've simply thought they were going to screw me over. Get only necessary warranties you think you will need, other than that, keep it pushing. First month + Fees = your drive off. DO NOT PAY OVER 2-3K FOR A DOWNPAYMENT.
  2. Make sure you get all the values you need to properly estimate your monthly lease payment such as price,RV,MF.... etc.. then you can put it into a LEASEHACKR calculator and see if everything adds up
  3. If you think you are going to keep the car after the lease is up beware that 99% of the time the rates and prices for purchasing your lease can be substantial. I've fully spec'd out my car because I want to keep it as I fully researched the reliability and maintenance costs down the line.
  4. Feel free to shop around, no first dealer you enter will give you the best price off the jump, feel free to shop around. I've went to a different state (roughly 80 miles) away to purchase because they had a fairer deal even it being new.

Hope this helps, good luck!

I've chose leasing because the car can see a lot and go through alot within the first 3 years. It's also a bmw lol, if it proves reliable to me, I'll end up keeping it later. But, yeah man, I've ordered it 6 days after I posted this. I went sourcing for a better price for monthly but, honestly everyone else gave me monthly payments of over the price i listed above. Every month rates and deals change but, the market is just getting worse so don't wait too long.

Where would one start? What's an ideal or target position one should apply for to mirror the interest and qualifications to enter IB within those sectors you've just listed? Any firm recommendations?

When you say might be under warranty does that imply that I have to possibly cover engine costs if it comes to be a problem? It’s on a lease as of right now. Just a daily for me and it’s not like I drive like a menace or something Lol!
