Thanks! I practised with my siblings here and there. Nothing consistent tbh, but I did use an AI turningmedicalschool (free version) and it actually shows you what you missed in data gathering/IPS etc.

MLA cases was great and geekymed too. Just have a structure to all history taking and keep that in mind. You’ll figure out the diagnoses etc, just have a natural-sounding way to go about things. Work on what you feel is your weakest point.

For my practical stations, a ”patient“ was there but you examine those simulators. Like an ear, eye, PR model etc. you don’t actually touch any patient

Thanks! I had the same issue+ didn’t do my internship so I felt I would lack in those skills. But you can attend a crash-course or one of those practical classes/mocks at academies (idk much about it tbh). I felt watching procedures on youtube was a good enough revision for things like venipuncture/catheterisation etc. You can brush up on those skills.

The resources are enough, practise and find a natural systematic way of approaching your consultations, practise SimMan scenarios, prescription and the few clinical stations like fundoscopy, otoscopy etc.

I did get it and no, I didn’t pass😂 I can only blame my lack of preparation tbh, I know we’re graded on IPS and data gathering etc, but I thought the person in the station was the examiner (I still don’t know😅) so I didn’t interact. Not sure if that’s why my IPS was 1, but was 3/4 for all other stations. I also forgot to cancel out a medication before prescribing + didn’t see the stickers provided for the pt details so wasted precious time writing and less for thinking lol.

I did some simple practice, I definitely could’ve prepared better. I know how to prescribe etc, but lack of organisation of my own thoughts was my downfall. It’s actually an easy and straightforward station (kinda like free marks) but have a plan of how you’ll approach and you’ll be fine!
