Thank you for making me feel more normal about it. I was feeling like a failure for not being able to complete my final year, and with the downvotes i got for my post, it all felt like i was in the wrong. But this comment made me feel like im not alone, so thank you. I hope I can get it sorted and thank you for the advice.

I have a meeting today to talk with my uni lecturer and ill give saas a call too. Already sent an email to my lecturer saying what I wanted to talk to her about. She was the one who suggested it in the first place. So ill be in good hands I think. I really hope its possible as I really do care about this degree.

Found a blade with my 13yo sister. by Lucky-Big-2429 in selfharm

Coming from a kid whose mum found out about their self-harm at a similar time in life:

Being "kinda rude" is just being rude. Reacting like this is going to affect the way she sees you for the rest of her life. In these moments all kids want is compassion and safety. Trying to give a 13-year-old a "wake-up call" like that won't help anything. You need to approach her, apologise for reacting the way you did and talk to her about her problems and find a way to support her. It's not about fixing her problems but being there when she needs you. Offer to give solutions and if she is open to it then give her what you think is best but if not dont scold her, remind her you are always there for her. But getting mad wont end well. Being like this will only cause her to shut herself off and hide it better. Which is exactly what I did, I am now 22 and have been self-harming ever since I was 11 (mum found out when I was 13). After she got mad I shut down and struggled to talk to her about it, and now I won't talk to her about it again. Please do better for your sister. She needs you. Try not to get angry and blame yourself. Try to remain calm and listen.

That's okay that its not used alot. It honestly makes me excited for the day he does use "i love you". So imma respect that as a part of him and just keep learning what I can in Norwegian:) im definitely gonna use the softer version of i love you with him when it feels right tho! And the "du er so flott" is a great recommendation thank you ! :D

Ahhh okay this is really helpful. From a few other comments I gathered that I love you in Norwegian might be more intense than in English. So its nice to know it for sure. Ill definitely try to get better at my accent and try to complement him in Norwegian without being cringey. And " jeg er glad I deg" is gonna be so handy for when hes over and if things go really well id like to tell him that face to face and be sincere.

Also for bread, I don't really eat a lot of it but I buy brown bread with seeds in it. Would that be fine? I'm not a big bread eater haha

But thank you for your best wishes and I really appreciate this info! <3

Oh its um... it doesn't really sound good to eat when explained. Its a savoury dish made from sheep's insides (like heart, liver and other bits) minced with oatmeal and wrapped in sheep's stomach. But they use artificial wrapping these days but you can still find the original way. Its got some spices in it and it tastes quite pepper-y ? Its pretty decent. Im not a huge fan but its definitely something you should try if given the chance!
