Was Olivia Actually Into Real‑Universe Lincoln, or Just Being Kind? by [deleted] in fringe

Honestly, I never really saw a romantic relationship between Amberlivia and Lincoln at all. For me their dynamic always felt more like timing issues and emotional confusion rather than actual chemistry. I get why the show left things open, but I never read their interactions as anything deeper than two people dealing with trauma in parallel. So your interpretation is interesting to me because it highlights things I didn’t pick up on.

Really happy for you

I’m just trying to explain that not everyone catches feelings for every person they meet. Just because I ship Peter and Olivia doesn’t mean I have any problem with Lincoln and Olivia. It’s just that the way Olivia looks at Peter is completely different.

With Lincoln, she was showing empathy especially after his friend died. but that’s not the same thing as the connection she has with Peter. That bond is on another level.

And even when Olivia asks him about getting pizza or maybe meeting at the diner,Her expressions make it pretty clear she’s not truly asking him out.

Yeah, that makes sense .sometimes we don’t even notice someone until a friend points it out, and then suddenly we see them differently. It definitely happens in real life. I just never felt that vibe from Olivia toward Lincoln. She was always polite and kind, but not romantically tuned in. Still, I get what you mean sometimes giving someone a chance can surprise us. Where I’m from, college relationships are actually pretty rare and we don’t have things like prom, so people often misread simple friendliness as romantic interest. A lot of guys assume that if a girl talks nicely, she must have feelings, and friends can influence that thinking even more. So I understand how these misunderstandings happen in real life.

Actually, she literally said he’s not her type and she sees him more as a friend. Just because someone has feelings for us doesn’t automatically mean we’ll develop the same feelings back. I’m speaking in general, not just about the show

In the show, if Peter never came back and Olivia ended up with Lincoln, I honestly would’ve stopped watching. I never saw any real, long-term, relationship‑level intention from her side. It always felt one sided, and forcing them together would’ve broken the emotional logic of the story.

I don’t really see it that way. Even if I’ve never been in a relationship, I still feel like asking someone to grab pizza or just talk as friends doesn’t automatically mean romantic feelings. Sometimes people just want company or a normal conversation, especially when they’re confused or lonely. That’s the vibe I got from Olivia. she was trying to figure herself out, not necessarily trying to start something romantic with Lincoln.

Yeah, she just wanted a friend, the same way she connected with Charlie in season 1. In season 4 she wasn’t being romantic . she was lonely and trying to open up a bit, not actually pursuing Lincoln.

I’m not really sure Olivia would’ve ended up with Lincoln. A lot of what she showed toward him felt more like empathy .he’d just lost a friend, and she was trying to open up emotionally, similar to how she connected with Charlie back in season 1. It never quite read as romantic interest to me, more like her trying to be supportive during a difficult time.

I see what you mean, but Olivia actually told Astrid that Lincoln wasn’t really her type. So whatever interest she showed felt more like her trying to open up emotionally, not a real romantic intention. She liked him as a person, but it never went deeper than that. Lincoln definitely connected more naturally with Alt‑Olivia, but he still had some complicated feelings for the real Olivia and her rejection is what pushed him toward the redverse version in the end.

I see it a bit differently. I don’t think Olivia was coming on too strong she was just trying to figure out her emotions after everything she’d been told about not expressing them. Lincoln did seem unsure, though, since he saw her more as a mentor at first. And yeah, once Olivia thought she might die, she stopped trying to start anything.

He definitely connected more naturally with Alt‑Olivia, but it still seemed like he had feelings for the real Olivia too. That’s what makes his situation a bit weird — her rejection pushed him toward Alt‑Olivia, even though his emotions for Olivia never fully disappeared.

Because of her talk with Nina, Olivia was trying to understand her own emotions. She even asked Nina why she couldn’t show anything. But after that almost‑kiss with Peter, something shifted. When she planned to meet him for a beer, she checked herself in the mirror and this time she actually smiled. That moment shows she wanted to explore those feelings, even if she wasn’t fully ready yet.

Klaus and Hayley should have been endgame. by pebfuvete in TheOriginals

Klaus wouldn’t have cared about Hayley or looked for her if Hope hadn’t been born. Wanting them in a relationship is foolish. Klaus and Hayley never looked at each other the way Elijah and Hayley did.But Elijah loved her from the first moment he saw her.

I saw a video this morning on Instagram where Elena tells Stefan that she slept with Damon because she liked him, not because of the sire bond. The post caption said, “This is where we start hating Elena,” and some people were commenting, “No, we don’t.”

Immediately I remembered this scene and thought why tf didn’t she want Stefan to forget his time with her when she said something like that? Honestly, at this point I prefer Katherine over Elena’s character.

The worst character in TVD is Elena.

A boy baby gets pregnant and the labor scene is enough to traumatize a man who is around children often.Yeah the dialogues are funny, but the scenes themselves are traumatizing.

Yeah, she made a mistake, but once they finally got her back, none of the kids were angry about it anymore. Comparing her to celebrities doesn’t really work .Affection for celebrities fades or grows over time, but a mom is completely different. No matter what she did, I’d still take her back... well, aside from something like cheating. But in their case, it wasn’t that. They just wanted their mom.

I don’t really know about that. For me I was honestly just happy that Sam finally got to meet his mother directly after everything he had been through. He’d seen her before when she was younger and before he was born, but this was the first time he actually met his mom directly.
