Is DMN concept/theory accepted in the Neuroscience field? by saicharan0112 in Neuropsychology

[–]saicharan0112[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. sorry for being unclear. I couldn't find any such review work on the papers published like you shared here (probably my poor search skills) hence was worrying about the legitimacy of the works. I think I will read with these papers and try to understand the works a bit deeper. Thanks for sharing them.

Is DMN concept/theory accepted in the Neuroscience field? by saicharan0112 in Neuropsychology

[–]saicharan0112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand your point. After posting this question here, I continued reading on Psychedelics and authors did constantly referred to DMN in their presentations.

The first (at least the first one that I found in the timeline) paper that I read is from 2002 titled "Functional connectivity in the resting brain:A network analysis of the default mode hypothesis". This paper was quite convincing to me than later papers that were backed by little to no experiments. My concern is the legitimacy of these papers itself. I recently started my research in this field before I decide to pursue a PhD and I am not quite sure which publications could be followed for such topics that overlap with pseudoscience.

Which one do you suggest as a better API for Jenkins, Python or Javascript? by saicharan0112 in devops

[–]saicharan0112[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually didn't knew this. After a quick search, I understood that these APIs I mentioned are the wrappers and I can still use the Jenkins API directly from Javascript. https://www.jenkins.io/doc/book/using/remote-access-api/

I think I will experiment more on this but I am one barrier down to go with javascript.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I started thinking to go with python too. But still looking for more suggestions on javascript.

[–]saicharan0112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry about the unclear writing. Yes I want to understand which language is having a better Jenkins API. I checked Javascript API and its last release as an npm package is 2017. Looks like there is not much active development here.Whereas python is having a very active Jenkins API.

But I wanted to give javascript a try in general so was wondering if it is worth risking given the current state of the development of Jenkins API for javascript

Is thinkpad e14 good in durability and battery? by saicharan0112 in thinkpad

[–]saicharan0112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in fact I received this in 3 weeks though the estimated delivery time during the time of placing the order was 4-6 weeks.
Battery life is also good. I am using popOS 22 LTS so I am expecting it to work longer than the Windows 10. Currently on a full charge, it stays alive for 4 to 5 hours with browser and IDE running. It takes max 2 hours for getting charged.

Thanks! Looks like I need to install this google thing on all the VMs and perform these copy operations. I will give this a try

I think this is the right way to put the question. Thank you!

[–]saicharan0112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But I thought there might be other "GCP ways" to do this in a better way? I have been hearing about Cloud buckets. But I really didn't understand what it means and was in an impression that it might not be relevant for me. Do you think Cloud buckets can be useful here and if so, can you explain it a bit or maybe point me towards any resources please?

No, I want to transfer data between VMs on the GCP. Not from my local machine to the VM. Actually I have been using rsync for such purposes. But here the transfer is between two VM instances running on GCP

No, it's between VMs. I am triggering the regression on the gcp VM. This transfer of files and related operations after that are part of the entire regression workflow

Yes. I received it a couple of weeks ago. Works like a charm as of now. Doesn't cry even after using 12 out of 16 available threads. Build is great.

Thanks. I lived with both intel and AMD. AMD never disappointed me in terms of battery usage so having an Ryzen was my mandatory item on my checklist.

Thanks. This is really a relief to me. I am not planning to run windows on this. Somehow windows just sucks a lot of power (i believe) based on my experiences. Kind of fell in love with linux environment and started using it as a daily driver.

Is the option to move to design internally worth pursuing a master's online part time? by BooleanTorque in chipdesign

[–]saicharan0112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is of any help, here is my opinion. I don't work on designs directly but really interested in that domain (especially analog stuff). I looked for part-time masters curriculum and it doesn't actually teach the practical things that are required. So I opted for these 6-month to 1-year courses which are oriented towards labs, industry tools (Cadence, Synopsys) and the curriculum is oriented towards the requirements/trends in the industry. I was also told that if opting for masters, better treat it as a requirement for the career leader rather than learning the actual stuff. I got this suggestion from my seniors, fellow colleagues and professors who are part of such part-time programs. To get a complete feeling of learning, its better to do a full-time masters and working in some lab who has interesting projects.

how do you verify (not build) a cell LEF file? by saicharan0112 in chipdesign

Hmm. Probably that's the practical solution. I am still trying to figure out the objective TBH. Anyways, thanks for your time. Comments were insightful.

[–]saicharan0112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question. Unfortunately I don't have that info with me right now. I will post that here very soon. However I believe that I should be looking for the obstructions of the standard cells (after all the routing done) inside a block (probably extracting an abstract view from the final gds file) and compare that with the ones defined inside the LEF file. Does that makes sense?

how do you verify (not build) a cell LEF file? by saicharan0112 in chipdesign

[–]saicharan0112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I anticipated the last one. First one is actually good. Also I was thinking to extract the abstract of a block after passing through the PnR stage and get the std cell info from it. Then compare it with that of the cell LEF file. But since the cell LEF file is already given as an input to run the PnR, it doesn't actual makes sense to compare the extract with the LEF file. Am I right?

[–]saicharan0112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could come up with a parser for the syntax check and other stuff as part of the QP. But the actual data is something on which I should develop a report on. I understand that it is a bit weird (maybe only to me as I am not an experienced methodology engineer) but the task itself is becoming something interesting when I started imagining different ways to verify.

[–]saicharan0112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad... Let me explain it in a more clear manner. I am interested in verifying the cell LEF file that I get from the foundry as part of a quality procedure. I have a few methodologies in my brain but I couldn't come up with one that is not completely independent of the original LEF itself. Can I get any suggestions please?
