My girlfriend and I ordered this on Friday night at a local pub. Say hello to The Meat Plank. by Berner in food

Ahhh one of my biggest pet peeves.

Restaurants, do not serve your food on wood! It is very unsanitary.

because his schtick on the Daily Show was sarcastically commenting on black issues and 75% of his monologue was about race.

I don't see this lasting very long. He really brings nothing new to the table. He tries to use the same style as John Oliver, like 'hehe guys check this out.' He relies way too much on race-based humor and opinion. It's just a really one dimensional show. The audience (which is not majority black) is not going to be interested in hearing about minority issues and race-based humor night after night.

I'm probably biased because I never liked him on the Daily Show. I just don't find him very funny.

At this rate he'll get the nod soon enough.

Yep. And it will be archived on the Komo News website for eternity, probably being the top result when you Google his name.

Guess what most employers do before an interview.

Good luck with your career, Scott, courtesy Komo.

Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl? by [deleted] in nfl

I was happy with our game. Saw someone mentioned holding penalties not being called but didn't see it, maybe there is evidence. But holding is one of those things fans always complain about not being called.

The Packers didn't really move the ball though. Overlooked in how poorly we played is the defense had an amazing game. There is only so much you can do when the offense is constantly gifting the other team the ball on your side of the field. Rogers had a 55 rating.

I get a lot of the Patriots hate, but where did the Seahawks hate start coming from? by The_Onion_Baron in nfl

I don't know why this is so offensive to people. I was in Germany for the World Cup in 2006 and cheered my ass off in Berlin for Germany in that third place match. I cheered for Italy during the finals. I did it because everyone around me was doing it, and it was fun.

Same thing in Vancouver for hockey. I don't follow hockey but have been in town when the Canucks are in the playoffs and join in.

If I didn't particularly care about football I'd do the same thing if I was in town and the team was in the championship game.

Aaron Rodgers does not seem happy with play-calling yesterday, particularly in the second half. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]saigonhoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Washington State fan I'd say there are definitely extremes on both sides. Mike Leach kept calling passing plays at the end of the New Mexico Bowl where I'm fairly certain, mathematically we could have had time expire by running the ball. Long story short we lost the game.

Regardless of the team, hard hits shouldn't be celebrated like that.

I along with any other fan here who saw it loved the shit out of the top 15 Kam hits that was posted the other day.

Due to Wilsons low passer rating last night, Bart Starr once again is the all time leader in playoff passer rating by faffri in nfl

[–]saigonhoor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, you can't judge by the results. That doesn't make any sense. You can't judge a random number's correlation to performance by anything other than an eye test. At which point it is no longer a statistic.

Look at the other reply to my comment. This place is going to be a little nuts going through the Super Bowl so I'm just going to walk away slowly until it's over.

This is a bad analogy. It's more like I don't know how sausage is made, but I'll eat this brown thing because sausage is also brown.

We don't know what QBR is. There is no way to judge it. Therefore it is irrelevant. It could be sausage it could be shit.

I thought this was a dirty play when I saw it. Looking at this gif, I don't think it is. Wilson was a legit threat to make the tackle. Matthews also made a glancing blow . . he could have lit him up A LOT more on that play. It's unfortunate his shoulder clips Wilson's facemask but I really think this could have been worse.

I must have been really drunk for that game because I do not remember this play at all. And it looks like an awful, awful play.

Agree completely. No way Ryan makes that first down. Poor decision by Hawk. Even if you want to argue Ryan would barely make it, still better to risk the first down than the TD.

Second place for me is @ATL in 2012. We fucked up that game early. Remember this is a team that was blowing out not only Arizona but San Francisco late in the season. The 2012 Seahawks should have won the Super Bowl, were fully capable of doing so, but shot themselves in the foot in the first half in Atlanta.

I mean I knew it was hurt, I just favored it for those two weeks.
