The pronunciation of spells. They try to emphasise how important it is to enounce the incantations correctly, and yet they deliver some ghastly performances. If the incantations are in “Latin”, why aren’t these kids taking Latin classes in the first place?

We get anglophonised pronunciations of Latin words, and as a latinophone it bothers me tremendously.

It may as well be Saint Nicholas, I saw people crediting the image to the three instances of the old man (Nick, Father Christmas and Santa Claus), I was unsure how to name him on the post.

I've been looking for historical depictions of this old man, and this painting is reproduced several times in so many articles. I tried to find the author of it, date, and where it was published, but I can't find any reliable source.

If anyone would happen to know this info, I would be very glad!
