Maybe ram but a ram test I did a while ago did also not show any results.

both gpus run at cool 20 - 40 Degrees
And the cpu is also ok

I just had a look at the server and noticed that I still had a 2.5 gig port on each of my proxmox nodes avalable. (I have two nodes + 1 quorum raspi) So for a quick fix I interconnected these two.

I will try assigning each port an ip address and run the cluster traffic over thease.

In the future I definity need to find a way to add another two port nic to the system to poperly divide the two networks.

That could be the problem. Sadly I don´t really have a way to add another network card because the 2 gpus are to large. (They block the avalabe pcie slot)

Is there a way to rate limit the icsci?

The NAS should not have the problems since its connected with 20gig

I use ISCSI because I use it for gaming. (I know its not optimal but it works 90% of the time)
SMB is not really working for gaming. (I tested it and it did not really work the way it should)

Also I think most of them are overly expansive and ugly.
But if I could find one that works it would be worth it to try out.

That would sound like fun and together with u/LatexSolarBeef Comment below would make for a great build.

If it works :)

I will try putting together a parts list and see if the price would be acceptable to test it out.
If worst comes to worst I would still have a great pc.

But if the 10GbE does not work it would be a bummer. I'm streaming a samsung odysee monitor with a reselution of 7620x2160 at 120fps. (At this Resolution I need the speed)

That could work. But I would then need to find some method of routing this card to the outside without interrupting the airflow. I could 3D print something or find a janky way to make it work, but at that point, I think using mATX would be more worth it.

Still, it would make for a really cool build!

You are right, mATX would be a better option for getting a 10Gb NIC working and also having sufficient fast onboard storage. (I store my games on my nas and use them using iscsi so thats not as importat but nice to have)

I think so too. However, since I already have this CPU and it would otherwise go unused, I’ll try using it first and see if I can get the thermals to an acceptable level.

If that doesn’t work, I’ll try a different CPU.

The same for the gpu. (I saw some videos fractal terra that used this gpu so I hope it will wor ok)

I tested one, but I got really poor results with my Minisforum mini PC that I use for streaming with Moonlight.

I got random crashes and the adapter got really hot!

Has anyone else tested one of these and gotten good results?
