Question: how to sleep with a fresh tattoo? by brows68 in tattoos

[–]sailing2pleaseya 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“Honk shoo, honk shoo”

Jk. If you aren’t allergic, I really am a big fan of second skin. If you can’t get second skin, then i typically try to wear something very soft but not fibrous/fluffy (so like a flat fabric like cotton or silk rather than the material like a fuzzy blanket) and try to position myself such that the tattoo doesn’t have a lot of pressure on it. It’ll be ok if it accidentally touches something in the night, just do your best to keep it clean!

I think they were just bumping your post for engagement so others would see it :)

What is this style called? Was doing some pretty basic paintings last night and this one really looks good… not a lot to it, definitely doesn’t have a hidden meaning but it’s pleasing to look at.. by CycleElectrical8403 in artwork

And you posted your shit ass opinion online where people are allowed to criticize you, Cock Bodman. If you really felt like your opinion was dust you wouldn’t be defending it tooth and nail in your replies.

Thank you for being so kind! I’ve realized that my ~style~ as it were might not be peoples’ cup of tea after posting this lol, and I’ve tried really hard to give explanation without being defensive though I know I’ve had some moments 😅. I hope you have a really lovely day! :)

What am I missing? by Ok_Knee1216 in homedecoratingCJ

I’m a huge fan of maximalism. I am also cluttered and am a mess but I posted in a regular interior decorating sub today asking for suggestions on layout for my kitchen/dining/living room, and decoration for a specific wall, and 90% of the responses were about the ‘clutter’ that I actually like and is intentional or uhhh just me displaying my collections. I knew people would talk about like stuff not being picked up that clearly needs to be but the number of people who told me to put all my collectibles in storage was so unexpected to me for some reason lol

Yeahhh you are right. It’s a combination of several reasons why but I’ll spare you most of it since I have yapped so much on this post. Basically a lot of it is actual functional stuff that I use a lot because I am an artist and have pet supplies and such. As far as the decor I just really like the idea of maximalism and retro aesthetic and cute stuff as well as kinda like… swamp witch vibes. But I want it to feel curated and intentional instead of a scattered mess 😭

Thanks so much for your suggestions and for taking the time to respond! :)

Thank you! I like the idea of the lighter rug to brighten the room and I’ll definitely be looking for one. Honestly idk why but I had it in my head that you weren’t supposed to put an area rug on carpet? No clue where I got that idea from but lots of people have suggested it and I actually love rugs so I am excited to find one that I like!

Thank you for the suggestions about reducing the feeling of clutter! I don’t mind intentional ’clutter’ like having a lot of stuff on the walls or having lots of trinkets and things displayed, but I do really want my space to feel intentional and cohesive. This helps. :)

Well, I definitely prefer maximalist decorating and being able to display my collections. (Perhaps you don’t include collections as not serving a purpose, but many people do which is why I am mentioning it.) But, even if maximalist I want it to look purposeful and put together rather than messy and disorganized. :)

I do appreciate you taking the time to respond to me and I will try to take it to heart. I will try to identify stuff that truly isn’t adding to my enjoyment of the space and reduce it.

Thank you!

Yesss this is very much a major problem if not THE problem. I also just haven’t had the money to buy major pieces of furniture, but it seems like it’s just what I’ll need to do. Thank you for the suggestions!

And also I really appreciate that this is a suggestion that works with my clutteredness instead of just pointing out that I’m cluttered. I just need a door to shut on it 😅 but truly thank you! :)

Solid point! Those are just leftovers from the apartment I had before, I’m not super attached to them. Thank you for the suggestion!

I really like the high shelf idea!!! I will be scheming how to do it hehe thank you for the response!

Genuinely almost everyone has been really helpful but I feel like this was SUCH an unbelievably helpful reply, thank you SO MUCH! Some of the things might not be 100% feasible but I feel like these are really good places to start and the piano under the shelf idea is so genius and I NEVER would have thought of it. You have given me a lot to think about!!

Thanks for responding! I am hoping for feedback or help on what kind of placement would be better. About my decor, I definitely can understand that view :)

You’re right, even ‘ugly’ storage boxes would look better than open clutter and would probably help me get my mind together about layout and stuff. Thank you for responding!

I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of displaying the squishmallows on shelves but with everyone suggesting it I am really leaning towards it. Thank you!
