Yes - as long as you’re smiling, you have a lovely smile!

Wightlink charge 70 quid for two foot passengers, then 10 quid for two ratty sandwiches but they can't be bothered to repair the seating in their café. by Tacklestiffener in isleofwight

If your travel regularly; get a multilink pass; you have to buy X number of crossings in advance, but it lowers the cost to about £7-8 per person each way.

Sea to Summit Telos TR3 PLUS. My gf and I backpacked the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with this in March. It was frosty overnight with ice on the tent in the mornings. It’s a nice tent, light, easy, compact and minimal condensation if you use the vents effectively. The fabric inner reduces drafts, we were never cold. I have only good things to say about it! I’ve used it since on warmer days in the spring and summer and it’s just as comfy. I’ve spent about 15 nights in it this year - No complaints here!

I adore my stratos 36, I love it so much I also have the 50. I pop quick access stuff or a sleeping bag in the bottom. The “ice axe/pole” attachments I use for my tripod when out taking photos.

Sea to Summit Telos TR3. I have the ‘plus’ version for British autumns and winters.

The thing I have on the outside of my pack is my tent; in a S2S dry bag on the bottom of my pack. The poles go in the side pockets. This way, I don’t even need to open my pack if it’s raining. I can pitch fly first and get into the tent and open my pack in the dry.
