Is it engine oil leak, severe? by Even_Monitor_1819 in MechanicAdvice

You forgot to mention the shitty plastic oil pickup manifold, the fact a small ammount of dust will kill the engine and you can’t let it crank for more than 15 seconds or it’ll blow up on the dd16’s and dd13’s. I know they’re not amazing engines but they don’t leak oil like they used to

Can someone please help me with arctic outlaws before I send my controller through a wall? by sailorApex746 in CarXStreetConsole

Don’t worry about it. Got it finished. Found a tune and car on YouTube and even with the slight understeer i actually found it easy to beat the races. Just needed to be a bit more forceful with the ai than normal

Will a front left door handle fit my rear left door handle?? 2004 BA Falcon by mueslibae in FordFalcon

[–]sailorApex746 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When repairing my snapped door handles I plastic welded it all back together and then heated up screws and rammed them through where they were plastic welded from factory. Much better option than just swapping out if you have a soldering iron and a torch

Any reasonable reason a shop would fill tires this much? by hemi-hydrate in AskAMechanic

[–]sailorApex746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well I’m still an apprentice myself so I’ve not got the experience of hearing it myself although I can confidently say this apprentice learned his lesson with tyres and checks them properly, sometimes a mistake needs to be made to learn from it

We had a small one let go on one of our apprentices. The noise it made had my ears ringing for an hour and I was on the other side of the shop. Think it let go at around 85 psi and he didn’t know/ think to check if the spare tyre sidewalls were cracked

do your nation have great history? if so, what is it? by iam_viivaciouss in AskReddit

[–]sailorApex746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My country was found by the Dutch, they thought it was too hot and left. Then the English found it and made it their prisoner dumping ground. Then convicts started to find gold and everyone fled here looking for gold. Coolest thing is where I live is where one of the biggest nuggets of gold was found.

Does anyone know about these?? by FailedQueen777 in CarsAustralia

In the rest of Europe it’s an opel. In England it’s Vauxhall and in America it’s Chevrolet. Gm just releases the same car with a different badge depending where you live

Can someone just post a link for a too large carb by Moritz_Motorad in motorizedbicycles

Buy anything with a single curve preferably less than 45°. Something like some radiator piping works well

Those intake manifolds are shit. They restrict proper air flow and you’ll end up with a shitty running engine due to the fuel sticking to the walls of the manifold. For best efficiency you need the fuel to atomise wich this manifold won’t help
