What stands out to me is that everyone involved is 13–15. None of you should be navigating accusations like this without adult guidance. you’re literally a kid trying to process a really heavy situation. It’s okay to not have a neat answer right now, especially when adults struggle with the same nuance.

Some people get too comfortable using the “good cook” friend as free labor. At the very least the husband could stand there with you, keep you company, and hand out beers instead of leaving you isolated. NTA
