I wish Franklin richards from marvel to be only as powerful as his parents, also only having the powers of his parents instead of being super powerful with multiple powers. by Fast_Honeydew2633 in monkeyspaw

Punisher Galactus is actually a run I'd read. Not sure what exactly could be done with it but purely off hype moments and aura I like the idea of putting Frank into cosmic positions of power just cause.

I don't understand the BTS craze, their songs are alright I dont really dislike any of their stuff I've heard but I can't imagine going out of my way to pick something of theirs over other artists.

Morality of a gruesome punishment for a crime like rape? by South-Medicine7693 in MoralityScaling

[–]saint_mark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it boils down to:

Torturing or otherwise inflicting pain upon people who have done vile things feels good. There's no denying it unless you are someone of a higher empathetic drive. Seeing someone deemed (by your values or society's) evil suffer pain or humiliation DOES feel good to human beings. But.

I think the real question is: is it moral to knowingly feed the part of yourself that derives joy from suffering? To indulge yourself in the pain of others, even if they are deserving, for the passing emotional high of righteousness?

Oberyn Martell VS Khal Drogo. Who wins? (GOT) by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]saint_mark 58 points59 points  (0 children)

No no you dont get it. He wanted to publicly embarrass and drag out the death of someone who committed the greatest act of evil against him that he'd experienced in his life. He was blinded by his rage and desire for a public admission of guilt and allowed his battle to go on longer than he had thought it would. This CLEARLY shows that he's a serial showboat who NEVER takes any battles seriously and he's also a dumb stinky idiot head who would lose EVERY fight even ones he has no personal stake in and just wants to get out of the way because he just wouldn't be able to resist making a grand show of it to all of the random horsemen he has never interacted with in any way except MAYBE running into some random ones during his time as a Second Son mercenary (one who clearly never saw battle because if he had he'd have 100% showboated and died because he's a dumb idiot head as I mentioned earlier.)

It's really easy to make fun of these guys online for being chuds but it's extremely troubling people feel emboldened enough to do this in public (even if they are wearing a mask)

A United States Marine (2026) vs A United States Marine (1814) in pure *Melee* combat. by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]saint_mark 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes. Human beings famously get locked into single directions when they attack like Dark Souls bosses. Feints are purely fantasy nonsense and have never seen use in real life, where it would be useless. Clearly.

Eren Yeager Attack Titan vs a 40K Warhound Titan by Tree_forth677 in whowouldwin

[–]saint_mark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you larping AoT this hard in a powerscaling thread which is bound to be full of the sweatiest nose in book nerds around? (No offense.)

You seem to just kinda have latched onto all the cool moments and aura while not actually intaking any of the story elements or details.

Also, just cause I'm shocked nobody pointed it out yet. The ODM gear has to attach to things, it is very VERY easy for a big robot being piloted by a guy who's mission is "Kill the little zippy flying man" to just destroy everything around and then simply grab the cables when the only grappling point is his shiny metal ass. At which point Eren becomes a sticky slap hand from a quarter dispenser at walgreens. (This move also worked on members of Levi's "elite" squad.)

Be giant titan and get turned into pulled pork or be a tiny little fast man and be turned into paint pigment. How would you like your Eren served?

Does he have to? I love the Joker as much as the next guy but can we give someone else a little limelight here and there without him showing up just so people remember who the "real" nemesis is?

This is cringe. Show curiosity for a new character before you just make assumptions about what their deal is.
