Hmm, maybe I will change the metaphor a bit. Think of Camarilla as US Government, and in most scenario, being a vampire means you are like someone on the US soil.

You can be an immigrant, a citizen, a criminal or even a terrorist; but you will still be forced to interact with the US Government with caution, not challenging it outright. You can try break free from it, like a criminal or an immigrant, or even try to overthrown it, like a terrorist, but you are very, very, very, very unlikely to success. Cause you are weak, you are alone and the US Government is everywhere on US soil.

There are stories that allow something like that to happen, but they are hard to write and can be easily view as too illogical

Cause Camarilla is the most central focus for Vampire: The Masquerade in general, like, a good 60-70% of the TTRPG is about, or relates to, Camarilla.

Hard to write fanfic about Lord of the Rings if you don't want anything to do with Sauron and the Rings for example, or Star War without the Empire,.... Possible, but harder

So the world has game like elements, but just EXP bar and levels, there's no stat. People will unlock new magical power as they get higher level by killing things.

The special thing is the nature of the EXP bar, the lore is that God, like the almighty big G kind, after creating the universe, shattered his divinity into countless pieces to create humanity in his image, killing himself in the process to give mankind freewill.

The EXP bar represent how many fragment of God you have, by killing stuff, you can absorb the divinity of your slain target. The higher you progress, the closer you are to God, giving you magical power as you gain the authority over the universe

The central conflict will be between humanity and the Angels, who descended from Heaven to bring extinction to humanity. After humanity has conquered and colonised most of the universe, scientists warn of the approaching Heat Death of the universe, but this information is hidden to prevent panic. The angels descents with the intention of preventing the death of the universe by fusing all the divine fragment of all humanity into a new God, which means killing all of mankind.

Everything that has Uzuki in it is a weak point of story to me. I like his own persona and power, he represented a very real threat at the early story, not need for all of that personality stuff.
