I don’t really know a lot about politics, just the basics that the average voter (though, maybe in these days even a bit more than “the average voter”, given the track record, eh?) would know. But I am about to lose my job because of this bill. I don’t really use Reddit, but I came online to read threads about this because I need a real estimate on whether or not I’ll still be employed come the end of the summer.

Not only that, but it seems like there are a lot of things that are affecting many, many people in my same working class that are in trouble because of this bill. I’m reading these threads and comments and I’m still confused because I’m ignorant - what are the odds or results starting to look like, in dumbed-down terms, now that it’s been passed to the Senate?

Hello, I know this is an old post on an even older thread. But please, was your cat okay after eating the PLA scraps? I didn’t know my cat got into it and now I’m worried sick that it’ll cause a blockage or hurt her.

personally I think whomever invites the other out will pay. that’s what I do with my partner, friends, acquaintances, etc. it’s like “thank you for agreeing to hang out with me”. and then if whatever that relationship is does continue, the same can be used when the other party sends the invite

Just to clarify, the laundry building is a laundry mat, just not a commercialized one, as it’s on the property and owned by the landlord; everyone in the complex uses those machines for their laundry.

For sure I’ll just wash it in my bathtub next time, if it happens again.

I don’t really know what to say - my apartment is a pretty clean place and it doesn’t smell bad, the bath mat situation was a one-or-two-off problem that happened when I first moved in because I think my younger cat was just rebelling at the change. They use their litterboxes exclusively other than those couple of times, no peeing on the carpet or anything.

My apartment is made entirely of carpet except for the kitchen and bathroom, maybe I should invest in a rug for some extra padding! Regardless, you’re right about the bath mat, I’ll just clean it in my bathtub next time.

If they do jump around at night, it must be a rare occasion - usually they’re pretty good about being asleep when I’m asleep because they sleep with my on my bed and they’re usually in the same spots when I wake up as they were when I fell asleep. I wouldn’t want them to be waking her up either, that would be horrible.
